The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has some big changes headed his way. He recently decided to run for city council in hopes of making a difference in the community. Nick’s counting on Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) to back him up, but she could be the reason his campaign crumbles. Chelsea’s keeping some huge secrets that will surely be exposed before long.
Nick isn’t going to be pleased about Chelsea’s money laundering and all the Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) drama she’s keeping under wraps. That’s especially true since Chelsea seems poised to bring Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) into it. Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) life will be threatened, so Chelsea may ultimately feel Adam needs to know.
If Chelsea doesn’t tell Adam what’s up, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) could make the decision for her. Phyllis is definitely going to be a key player in this mess. There’s a reason she’s spying on her Grand Phoenix partners, and it’s partly about setting up a revived romance. It’s been months since Stafford reclaimed the role of Phyllis, so it’s high time that she gets a love interest.
Only A Matter Of Time Until Viewers See A Chadam Reunion
Y&R’s clearly pushing Chelsea back in Adam’s direction, which is the right call considering they were always played up as true loves. The show previously ignored those crucial years and focused on Adam’s connection to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), but “Chadam” is the most natural route to take. With Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to bring them closer, it’s just a matter of time until Chelsea gets back together with Adam.
Of course, that means The Young and the Restless will have to do something else with Nick. Putting him with Phyllis again is an easy choice. Plenty of classic “Phick” fans will be thrilled while many Genoa City residents balk. It should bring some good drama when it inevitably happens.
In the episode airing November 5, fans can see the first signs of the Nick and Phyllis reunion that’s coming. Phyllis appears to show genuine concern for Nick and his future.
Abby Newman Warns Phyllis Summers To Stay Away
She doesn’t want politics to be what finally turns Nick into Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but he promises that’s not going to happen. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) warns Phyllis not to make a move, but Phyllis jokes about caving into peer pressure and perhaps hitting that again. Something tells us she won’t be joking soon!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick’s going to need someone after Chelsea’s betrayal. All Chelsea’s lies will catch up with her, and that’s sure to be a tough blow for Nick. If Nick’s political campaign explodes as well, that’ll really pile on the sorrow. Throw in Chelsea and Adam’s growing bond and there’s just no way “Chick” can survive.
