The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will soon get a huge shock. As Y&R viewers know, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has been on the Genoa City scene causing turmoil wherever she goes. She claims to have had no idea that she looks just like Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) late wife Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan), yet she’s the lawyer representing the party who is contesting Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will and going after Devon’s billions.
Well, Amanda has been shocking people left and right with her Hilary-lookalike status. She stunned Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and brought Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to tears after their run-in at The Grand Phoenix. It looks like Amanda will soon run into Phyllis, which should be an interesting encounter. Y&R viewers will remember that Phyllis and Hilary were close friends; they seemed to understand each other in a way that they couldn’t relate to other people.
Phyllis’ first reaction to Amanda will probably be one of shock, as has been the case with everyone else who has seen her who also knew Hilary. Amanda tends to be off-putting with the people who have questioned her appearance thus far, but the situation may be quite different with Phyllis. According to Y&R spoilers, Phyllis will grill Amanda for details. Phyllis can be pretty off-putting herself, so she probably won’t get too ruffled by Amanda’s demeanor and personality.
In fact, The Young and the Restless spoilers tell us that Phyllis may think she smells a rat where Amanda is concerned. It seems that she’ll be very interested in Amanda’s agenda, and she’ll probably have a million questions for Amanda about who she’s working for, what her angle is, and so on. But how will Amanda react? Could we be looking at a potential friendship between these two women, just as Phyllis and Hilary were friends?
A fast friendship could certainly happen. Phyllis could really use a friend right about now. After all, the only friend (and we use that term loosely) that she has is Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and that’s more of a “frenemy” situation. Who knows, Phyllis could want to cozy up to Amanda in order to find out more about the will contesting situation but wind up forming a bond with Amanda.
It would certainly be interesting to watch the two women connect. Something tells us that Amanda won’t have too many friends around Genoa City, either, so these two could wind up concocting some schemes together. Who knows, Phyllis could even get her hands into the will contesting situation – ongoing Y&R spoilers say that Phyllis will soon become intrigued by Cane Ashby’s (Daniel Goddard) actions, and of course Cane was the person named in Amanda’s version of Katherine’s well as the recipient of Katherine’s fortune.
