The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Summer Remains A Threat To Kola – Lola Can Lose Kyle Unless She’s Careful

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) still sees Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as her true love. Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle), with the last name change affirming who Kyle loves, can’t allow her focus to be dominated by work. If that happens, recent changes at Jabot could afford Summer an unexpected opportunity to reestablish inroads.

There was a time when Kyle was all-in for Summer. But she toyed with him, one time even putting Kyle behind Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who never cared for her.

Last year’s write-in of Calle’s character established a legitimate rival for Summer and a shift in the couple’s dynamic that eventually led to nuptials last month. Now, a party at The Grand Phoenix leads to a Skyle kiss that Lola observes.

Kola Has It All Over Skyle

Summer has matured this summer. Following the donation of half her liver to Lola, King’s character did back off Kyle.

Originally intended as a way to trap Kyle into marrying her, Summer’s liver gift to Lola didn’t even yield the one-year marriage commitment that was promised. Kyle ended their marriage shortly after it started and recently wed Lola.

There’s just no chemistry comparison between what Kola is and what Summer thought existed when she was ever so briefly married to Kyle. Lola is the opposite of who King’s character was upon Summer’s return to GC in the summer of 2018.

Jack Abbott’s Decision Gives Summer Newman Opportunity

Somewhat similar to what his mother did, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) left town in search of himself. Before heading to a spa in Arizona, he put Kyle in charge of Jabot.

The tag of temporary was placed before Kyle’s Chief Executive Officer title, but the weight of the position is no less heavy. Along with the elevation comes renewed, regular work place contact with Summer.

After a productive day at the office, where high-minded ideas about today and tomorrow were discussed, all seemed okay. Then, Zoe Hardisty (Anna Grace Barlow) threw a passive-aggressive temper tantrum and spiked the drinks at the opening of The Grand Phoenix, where Lola’s desired cooking skills are being also being utilized, which results in Summer and Kyle kissing.

Lola Abbott Is Authentic

In Summer’s mind, Lola isn’t the right woman for Kyle. That feeling exists because Summer believes Kyle will grow bored of Lola in the future.

Like Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), Summer isn’t ready to settle down. That philosophical difference is why Summer is with Theo and Kyle is with Lola.

Various personalities in this famous fictional city understand what happens when time and preferences create distance between friends and former romantic partners. Summer wants life to be as it was. Meanwhile, Kyle is looking at Lola and therefore ahead.

Lola gained Kyle’s heart through her authenticity. Summer’s demeanor has improved a bit. But she still lags well behind who Lola is, which likely means that Kola can survive this kiss. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
