The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, August 1, tease that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will have to be ready for anything. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) could send a few mixed signals after Nate starts talking about the future. It seems a steamy moment will turn into an awkward one, but maybe Nate just needs to dial down the enthusiasm.
Nate pursued Abby hard and finally won her over, so we get that he’s eager to take more steps forward. However, they just started dating and honestly still need to be getting to know each other. Perhaps Nate should concentrate on getting Abby to open up. Fortunately, sparks will keep flying, so Nate won’t manage to scare Abby off on Thursday.
In the meantime, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will form a surprising partnership. He’ll team up with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) on a project, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store. This might have something to do with Nick’s goal of finding himself and figuring out a new path. Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will fit into his new path somehow, so the possibilities should thrill Nick.
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will also be shaken within the next episode or two. As an EMT, Elena deals with some tough patients and another one’s coming up. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena won’t be able to save this patient, so it’ll be hard for her to cope.
Elena has struggled with guilt over her mom’s death, so this could trigger some painful memories and heartache. Thankfully, Elena will have Devon to lean on. These two have really been growing as a couple, so that trend should continue.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will head to Society. Mariah’s got an exciting new job as the head of Power Communications, and Tessa’s music career is taking off at last. They’ll have plenty to celebrate as they kick off a new chapter of their lives.
Of course, Mariah and Tessa might take this opportunity to look back as well. They shared their first kiss on August 3, 2017, so this is awfully close to the second anniversary. That day was a game-changer for both of them, even if it took them a while to admit it and get on the same page. Two years later, it’s possible Y&R will bring up the major milestone.
On the other hand, Y&R forgot Tessa knew Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) back in 2017 and had her “meet” him again at the Fourth of July carnival. They may not be too focused on “Teriah” history here! Regardless, Mariah and Tessa will acknowledge how far they’ve come and toast to what’s ahead.
