The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, August 29, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be proud of his handyman skills. He’ll talk to Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) about installing the new air conditioning unit, but the power will ultimately go out. After that’s back up and running, the refrigerator will break down.
However, Lola and Kyle will manage to get things ready for Celeste Rosales’ (Eva LaRue) farewell dinner, which Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will attend. Once the gang’s all there, Lola and Rey will enjoy some sibling banter. Kyle will think their family is full of life, and he’ll be grateful their children will grow up around all this. Celeste will wonder if they have something to spill, but the newlyweds will insist there are no plans for kids yet.
Celeste will mention Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Mia Rosales’ (Noemi Gonzalez) impending bundle of joy. She’ll quickly backtrack and fear she’s made Rey uncomfortable, but he’ll promise it’s all good. Rey will welcome this family addition with open arms. Celeste will drop a hint about Rey and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) possibly getting back together. Lola will agree Rey should give Sharon another shot.
After a round of toasts and some parting words, Celeste will hug Lola goodbye. She’ll assure her daughter that she won’t reunite with Adrian Rosales (Jay Montalvo) again. At the Chancellor mansion, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will show up to rant at Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) about the anonymous text. Kevin will insist he isn’t playing mind games, and neither is Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kevin will just want Adam to leave them alone. Adam will fire back with a warning, but he’ll indeed exit. Afterward, Kevin will beg Chloe to tell him she wasn’t behind the text. Chloe will offer reassurance and point the finger at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). She’ll fear Billy will try to hurt Adam, so she’ll insist they have to stop him.
After they bicker a bit, Chloe will push Kevin to go make sure Billy’s safe. She’ll think it’s what Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) would want. At the coffeehouse, Billy will tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) he’s going out of town on business. She’ll want Billy to change his plans, but he’ll insist this trip is a must. Billy will think it has the power to change everything if it goes how he wants.
Victoria will wish she could tag along, but Billy won’t want her to fret. He’ll doubt Adam will be battling anyone while he’s out of the picture. Later, Kevin will track Victoria down to ask about Billy’s happiness. She’ll admit things have been rough since Adam came back and add that Billy’s gone to California.
At Society, Adam will ask if Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was behind anonymous text. He’ll note that Mariah’s not above pretending to be a ghost. Mariah will snap that she doesn’t have and doesn’t want Adam’s number. After Sharon appears, she’ll give Mariah updates on Adam’s marriage proposal and allude to their hookup. Mariah will be appalled and make her support for “Shey” known. Sharon will admit that if she could have a do-over, she’d take one with Rey.
In the dark somewhere, Billy will chew gum as he dons some black gloves. He’ll get into his vehicle and take a pic of the handkerchief he stole. Back with Victoria, she’ll call Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and realize Billy’s trip story was a lie. Adam will walk in soon after and insist Billy accused him of planting Delia’s doll in his bed. Victoria won’t think it’s that farfetched considering they’re talking about Adam.
After Victoria repeats the trip lie, she’ll push Adam to leave them alone. Y&R spoilers say Adam will head out, so Victoria will get on the phone and leave Billy a voicemail. She’ll warn that whatever Billy’s thinking about doing, he shouldn’t do it. Once Adam returns to his penthouse, he’ll get a text with the handkerchief pic and dash off.
At the meeting spot on route 7, Adam will show up and urge the text sender to show his face. Meanwhile, Billy will put the pedal to the metal in his car and try to run Adam down. Chloe will push Adam out of the way in the nick of time, so Billy will pump the brakes and swerve to miss her.
