The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update and recap for Thursday, July 11, tease that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will let Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) know he’s free to move back in. Now that Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) is at the club again, there’s no need for Kyle to stay away. Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will also have a chat with Kyle, which will lead to them reflecting on their troublemaking days.
Later, Kyle and Lola will try to enjoy some private time at the Abbott mansion. When Theo shows up with a bunch of eager partygoers, Kyle will definitely be annoyed. Summer Newman (Hunter King) will arrive as well, so that’ll only make matters worse. She’ll push for skinny dipping and get the crowd pumped for some fun.
Lola will eventually opt to head home, but she’ll encourage Kyle to stay and hang out with the others. Y&R spoilers say Theo will turn the music up before things get a bit wild. After something gets broken, Kyle will bring this shindig to a screeching halt. Summer will compare Kyle to his grandfather, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), whose sole focus was his wife’s happiness. She’ll note that plan didn’t pan out.
Kyle will rage over Summer bringing his grandparents into their drama. He’ll end up giving Theo a shove and telling them both to get out. Next, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will meet with Celeste in her suite at the GCAC. She’ll gripe about Lola being stubborn, but Rey will think Celeste’s awfully stubborn herself.
Talk will turn to Rey and Lola’s father, who’s been in touch with Celeste lately. Celeste will admit Papa Rosales wants to walk Lola down the aisle, but Rey will insist it’s not happening. When Celeste’s mentions that her ex has been asking for money, Rey wonder understand why she’s putting up with it. He’ll feel like Celeste is opening the door to trouble, but he’ll warn her to keep Lola out of the loop.
At Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) place, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) will show up to question Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) again. He won’t have any further autopsy details, but he’ll wonder about Calvin Boudreau’s (John Burke) enemies. Chelsea won’t recall any foes, but she’ll note that Calvin wasn’t proud when it came to certain parts of his history.
Once Paul leaves, Chelsea will grumble about being treated like a suspect. Nick will point out that Chelsea said she was done with running and do his best to calm her. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will still seem agitated after she’s alone. She’ll pace a bit before preparing to do an Internet search.
Back with Nick, he’ll bicker with Paul at the coffeehouse. Nick will think it’s wrong for Paul to look so closely at Chelsea when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has a strong motive. Paul will suggest that Chelsea’s done some shady things and may have inherited money from Calvin. However, he’ll note that nothing’s been proven yet anyway. They’ll need more test results before any potential charges are filed.
Afterward, Nick will get some updates from Rey. They’ll discuss some tension between Rey and Sharon. Despite the Vegas distraction, it was apparent that Sharon couldn’t get Adam off her mind. It led to some conflict while they were there, so Rey will be concerned about their lingering bond.
Talk will turn to what Rey was able to uncover. He’ll share that Adam spent some time with “Chance” Chancellor in Vegas. Rey will explain to a surprised Nick that Chance was arrested for assault, which led to Adam bailing him out. He’ll add that Chance has fallen off the grid now.
Nick’s next stop will be the Chancellor mansion, where he’ll grill Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) about Chance. She’ll be in disbelief over the idea of Adam and Chance hanging out, but she’ll confess she hasn’t been in touch with Chance in a while. Jill will be puzzled when she learns Chance was living in Vegas. She’ll dial Chance’s number, order him to return her call and hope he’s OK.
Jill will turn to Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) portrait and acknowledge their mutual love for Chance. She’ll promise she’s not going to fail him. Once Nick makes it back home, he’ll comfort Chelsea over Adam’s potential guilt in Calvin’s demise. She’ll blame herself, but Nick will insist she can lean on him as he pulls her into a hug.
At Kyle and Lola’s apartment, he’ll return and admit he felt out of place at the party earlier. Kyle won’t want to be a stick-in-the-mud, but Lola will reassure him. They’ll strip down to make love, but Celeste’s arrival will force Kyle to hide. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lola will suggest that they meet tomorrow and talk things out.
After Celeste agrees, she’ll call out to tell Kyle goodnight and get goodnight wishes in return. The tension is lifting for now, but it won’t be long until more mother-of-the-bride mayhem erupts.
