The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, October 17, tease that another round of troubling behavior is brewing. Naturally, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will be the one causing concerns. Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) knows the kid isn’t coping well with all the family drama. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) suggested it was time to get Connor a therapist, but even that may not help.
It seems like the only thing that’ll calm Connor down is being reunited with his dad. Unfortunately, Chelsea hasn’t been able to speak with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). She’ll probably keep trying on Thursday, but Adam’s determined to drop off the map. Even if Chelsea wears Adam down and gets an answer, he may argue that he’d only make things worse. Adam’s convinced that he’ll be a bad influence on Connor and cause more pain in the end.
However, it’s clear that Connor needs Adam in his life. Adam may not be the perfect father, but he adores his little boy – and that means something. Connor and Adam have a deep bond, so it’s understandable that Connor’s acting out. That’s especially true since he’s been lied to so much lately. Connor doesn’t know who to trust anymore, which is why Adam needs to come back and help Connor through this.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Connor will have another meltdown on Thursday. This one may be his worst yet. If Connor grows violent or injures himself, Chelsea could really start to panic. Fortunately, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will step up to find Adam in the week ahead. He’ll do his best to track Adam down, even if it means his brother could cause problems for the Newman clan again.
In the meantime, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) may reevaluate their priorities. They weren’t planning on having a baby so soon after getting married, but will they change their minds? Wednesday’s episode brings a pregnancy scare for Lola, but the test results are negative. That leaves both Kyle and Lola relieved, but they admit they’re a bit disappointed, too.
Is there a chance Lola will decide to go off birth control? Could Kyle and Lola actually try for a baby? It’s at least worth talking about. Y&R fans can expect Kyle to pay Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) a visit on Thursday. He’ll ask how Jack would feel about becoming a grandfather, so that’ll bring a shock. Jack will naturally wonder if Lola’s expecting a child.
Kyle will confess that’s not the case yet, but could it be the case soon? He might want Jack’s advice on starting a family. Perhaps Jack will reflect on his own upbringing, which may be helpful as he writes his book with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will decide to protect the Abbott family legacy. That could involve trust funds for Kyle’s future children or some special provisions at Jabot. Jack will want to make sure the Abbott fam is taken care of and will thrive for many years to come.
