The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Thursday, October 24, tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will be hard at work at Jabot, when talk turns to Kyle and Lola Abbott’s (Sasha Calle) house hunting. Kyle will share that Lola didn’t care for the house that he and Summer liked, and Summer will joke that perhaps he’s losing his touch with Lola. Kyle will sigh and look totally miserable.
Soon, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will burst in the office, back from his road trip and acting all business. Summer and Kyle will give him a fast and furious update on all the impressive things they’ve accomplished while he was gone. Billy will be dismissive of their efforts and he’ll want to see hard numbers showing how sales are doing, which Kyle will provide to him. Billy will tersely say that it’s better than he expected but will caution them not to let up.
This will immediately irk Kyle, who will clearly feel that he’s being treated like a subordinate. The men will bicker, and Kyle will point out that Billy isn’t his manager, and that they are equals running the company. Billy will continue to be dismissive, and finally Kyle will call him on his attitude, prompting Billy to attack and go on about how he worked his way up the ranks and he’ll even admit that he’s waiting on Kyle to fall on his face.
Clearly, Billy has a problem, and it’s quickly becoming Kyle’s problem. But Kyle doesn’t feel like he can run to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for help because it would probably make the situation worse. So, now Kyle’s got a problem both at home and at the office, which means the stress is piling on. How will he cope?
Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Thursday, October 24, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will be hanging out at Society eating fritters, clearly hoping to run into Lola. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will come along and Theo will inquire about Lola’s presence, but Abby will say that she’s in Miami visiting her new nephew. Theo will proclaim that he likes Lola’s company, her cooking, and that “she’s good people.”
Abby and Theo will have the most civil conversation they’ve ever had, but Abby will take the opportunity to warn Theo to not cause problems for Kyle and Lola. He’ll express regret for causing trouble for Kyle, but she’ll still remain skeptical about how true their friendship ever was.
Summer will then come along and join Theo. They’ll end up crossing the room to chat with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Theo will make a fool of himself babbling about branding in front of Victoria, who will pretty much dismiss him. Afterwards, Summer and Theo will discuss Summer’s stint at Newman Enterprises, and predictably she’ll start gushing about how much better it is working with Kyle. This will mildly irk Theo, who will take a moment to look at a text from Lola on his phone.
Clearly, Theo’s developing a bit of a crush on Lola. It could just be a friend crush, similar to the “bromance” that he used to share with Kyle back in New York. But it could be something more, and if so, then he’s crossing into dangerous territory. And since Lola seems to have a soft spot for Theo, too, it’s going to be a bad scene once Kyle figures out what’s developing there.
