The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for recap Tuesday, September 24, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will battle regrets. As he mulls over an article on Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) arrest and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) death, Adam will seem tortured. He’ll insist that Victor wasn’t supposed to die.
Adam will recall meeting his father as Mr. Newman when he was a kid. He’ll consider how different things would’ve been if Victor hadn’t hidden his paternity. Adam will feel like they wouldn’t have faced this crushing outcome. He’ll keep wrestling with his complicated feelings about Victor and their challenging relationship. Adam will reiterate that he didn’t want Victor gone, but he’ll ultimately question if that’s really true.
Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will fret to Victor at the ranch. The Young and the Restless spoilers say they’ll talk about the trap they set for Adam, which has obviously gone awry. Neither one of them wanted Victoria to be arrested, so Victor will feel like he’s put his family in jeopardy.
Soon after, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will show up ranting about Victoria’s predicament. He’ll argue that he trusted in Victor’s plan, but now Victoria’s behind bars. They’ll bicker until Nikki convinces Billy to cool off. Next, a call from Victoria will come in. She’ll warn Billy and the others not to do anything until she’s out on bail.
Later, Victoria will indeed score her temporary freedom. Despite Billy’s protests, Victoria will want to stick to the plan. She’ll think they have Adam right where they want him, so they have to keep up the charade. However, Victoria will voice concerns about this causing a setback for Billy. He’ll make it clear that’s not going to happen and assure Victoria they’re stronger together.
At the Abbott mansion, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be in shock over Victoria’s arrest. Traci will point out that Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) must’ve had a good reason for arresting Victoria, but Jack just won’t think it makes sense. Victoria was in charge at Newman and had everything she could’ve wanted. She also adored her father, so none of this will add up for Jack.
Afterward, Jack will head to the park with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). He’ll talk about Victor’s demise as well as his trip, which gave him time to grasp Dina’s perspective. Jack will be sorry for passing judgment on Dina before. He’ll let his mom know he’s proud of her accomplishments and proud to be her son. After Jack tells Dina he loves her, she’ll recognize “Jackie” and insist she loves him, too.
Back at the Abbott house, Jack will hit Traci with an amazing idea. He’ll want to write a book about their family, so he’ll ask for Traci’s assistance. Y&R spoilers say Traci will be excited about their new passion project.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will talk to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) about the proof against Victoria. Rey will remain convinced that Adam’s responsible, but Sharon will wonder if he should even be on this case. After all, there could be some bias here. Nevertheless, Rey will think he can keep his personal feelings out of it and do his job right.
Sharon won’t think Adam wanted Victor dead, but Rey will offer a warning. He’ll insist he doesn’t want Sharon getting hurt in this Newman war. Rey will remain convinced that Sharon can’t change who Adam is as a person.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will show up on Adam’s doorstep anyway. When Adam asks what she’s doing there, Sharon will contend that Adam needs her. It sounds like Sharon’s still struggling with Adam’s pull, so it’ll be interesting to see where this leads. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
