The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 28, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will spend some time hanging out with his son. He’ll chat with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) at Crimson Lights before turning his attention to Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). Adam will insist he’s going to prove he’s worthy of Chelsea’s trust.
After Chelsea and Connor exit, Adam will talk to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about his other son. Nick received full custody of Christian Newman (Alex Wilson), but Adam will be eager to see the restraining order dropped. He’d still like to enjoy some visits with Christian. Unfortunately, Nick won’t budge on that unless Adam ends the war he’s declared on the Newman clan.
Next, Adam will be taken aback by a call from security. He’ll realize there’s some issue at the penthouse, so he’ll dash off. Meanwhile, Y&R fans will see Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) rummage around after his break-in. He’ll find the handkerchief Chelsea gave back to Adam and leave with it. Later, Adam will show up and take a look around. He won’t notice anything missing, so this ordeal should be pretty peculiar to him.
At Society, a fun evening will get underway for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Adam will show up eventually, which will be a bit of a mood killer. However, Adam will assure Abby that he’s not there to cause trouble. He’ll hand over the final documents for the Grand Phoenix and suggest he’s not out to get her like the rest of the Newmans.
At the Chancellor mansion, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will discuss concerns about Billy. They’ll talk about Billy being obsessed with memories of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) before Kevin mentions the supposed messages from the spirit world. Chloe will be deeply troubled by all of this, so she’ll decide to pay Billy a visit ASAP.
At Billy and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle), Chloe will arrive looking for a heart-to-heart. She’ll push Billy to confide in her and he ultimately will. Billy will talk about being tormented by his nightmares and waking up in random places. He’ll be a mess, but Chloe will think he needs to stop letting Adam get to him like this. She’ll note that she’s made peace and Billy can, too.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will remain skeptical of that strategy. He’ll just wish Chloe had aimed higher when she pumped a bullet in Adam. Once alone, Billy will drift off to sleep and dream about Delia trying to get away from Adam. He’ll look disturbed as he opens his eyes.
At Nick’s place, Connor and Christian will play videogames after dinner. Once the kids head to bed, Nick will have some wine with Chelsea as they discuss Connor’s visit with Adam. She’ll confess that it went well, but Nick will warn that they can’t let Adam screw things up for them. Chelsea and Nick will talk about the future before they kiss passionately and ultimately head to the bedroom for lovemaking.
At Devon’s penthouse, he’ll receive an attorney’s letter as Elena looks on. Devon will be surprised to learn it’s about discrepancies in Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will. Back with Billy, he’ll feel confident he knows how to handle his Adam problems now. Once Billy fills Chloe in, she’ll be even more concerned.
Billy will send an anonymous text telling Adam he has something that belongs to him. He’ll want to meet at a spot that leaves Adam rattled: the curve in the road on route 7, where Delia was killed. The Young and the Restless spoilers say a faceoff’s looming, so stay tuned. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
