The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 25, teases that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will make it home for the holidays. At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will be on hand to welcome Faith back. Faith will embrace Sharon before Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) arrive. It won’t be long until Faith heads out to the patio for some girl talk with her big sisters.
Faith will admit there’s a boy she likes, but she’ll need some advice on how to get noticed. Mariah will suggest that Summer’s the expert in this area. Y&R spoilers say Summer will urge Faith to be herself. She won’t want Faith to settle for anyone who doesn’t make her feel treasured. After Mariah and Summer assure Faith that they’ve got her back, all three of them will share a group hug.
Faith will head back into the main part of the coffeehouse, which will leave Mariah to question Summer about Jabot. Summer will make it clear that there’s nothing going on with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will assure Mariah that she’s matured and has moved on.
At the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will approach Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) after she drops a file. Amanda will be sorry about how she reacted to Phyllis asking for legal help. Phyllis will note that Amanda’s honest and will hope to become friends. She’ll encourage Amanda to stay in Genoa City and live at the hotel.
Later, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will play backgammon with Amanda. He’ll admit he’ll just have to keep his world with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) separate from his world with Amanda. Nate will fret about Amanda spending Christmas by herself, but she’ll suggest she’s not a big holiday person and has found a way to fill her evenings.
When Nate wonders if Amanda’s met any gentlemen, she’ll tell him she’s not a hermit. However, Amanda won’t mention her encounters with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Their secret friendship will remain a secret for now.
At Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will meet with “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz). Chance will point out that he’s decided to stick around and thought Adam should know. Although Chance is a reminder of things they’d both like to forget, he wants to stay in Genoa City – and he isn’t asking permission to do so.
Phyllis will eventually listen in on Chance and Adam’s chat, which will naturally include hints about Vegas. After Phyllis knocks something over, her eavesdropping will be discovered. Phyllis will contend that Chance should start practicing yoga so he can take out the machete that Adam will put in his back.
Once Adam takes off, Phyllis will offer Chance friendship and a drink. She’ll want to know what jam Chance was in that required Adam’s assistance. Chance will shut down the idea that Phyllis is his friend. He’ll let her know he’s not interested in her kind before exiting. Phyllis will pick up the money Chance left on the table and put it in her purse.
Back with Sharon and Rey, they’ll talk about Sharon’s efforts to help Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Rey will wonder how much of this is really about Adam. Sharon will confess that her ex is a factor, but only because she wants Connor to have better coping strategies. She’ll hope she can keep Connor from falling into the same dark place that Adam went.
However, Sharon will promise Rey that she won’t put what they have in jeopardy. She’ll gush that love’s better the second time around. At Adam’s penthouse, he’ll return home and call someone to ask how things are in Vegas. Adam will want to make sure “she’s” still getting the payments and will add that silence is expensive but essential.
At Society again, a double date will take a tense turn. Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will be joined by their husbands, who’ll be arguing over a racquetball game. Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will make cheating accusations as Christine and Lauren try to settle them down.
Later, Michael and Paul will apologize to each other. Lauren and Christine will joke that they were thinking of going on a wife strike if the bickering hadn’t stopped. Paul and Michael will start offering up plenty of compliments. They’ll vow to never argue again before talk turns to Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker). Lauren will mention that Fen’s recovery is going well.
Christine will also hint that she’s got some ideas about her next act in life. Michael, Lauren, Christine and Paul will cap off their time together with a toast to friendship.
