The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update and recap for Wednesday, July 24, tease that Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) will creep in Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) dreams again. He’ll hear Delia laughing before he finds a marker on the floor. Billy will notice some writing on the wall as well, but he’ll wake up as he peels back the wallpaper to see it.
Over with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), he’ll come home from Paris and reveal that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is also in for a visit. Jack and Ashley will make Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) uncomfortable with questions about Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). Traci will insist they’re just friends before the gang shifts gears. Jack will have an announcement to make with Ash, but he’ll want to wait for Billy to join them.
At the Chancellor mansion, Billy will speak with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) as he looks behind the wallpaper. He’ll see Adam’s name and argue that Delia’s trying to tell him something. Billy will peel back a bit more paper to reveal “Cordelia.” Kevin will point out that Delia always went by “Madame Cordelia” when they had tea parties, so he’ll think young Delia just messed up the spelling.
Afterward, Billy will catch up with the rest of the Abbott clan. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack and Ashley will share their big news: they’ve decided to merge their companies and work together. Traci will be overjoyed, but Billy still won’t trust Ashley. Even though Ash will understand Billy’s concerns, she’ll contend that their father would’ve approved of this arrangement.
At Society, Billy will write “MADAME” out on a napkin and ponder it. When Traci comes alone, he’ll wonder how she lives without her daughter. Traci will reply that she just takes it one day at a time. She’ll note that Billy does the same and mention that he’s dealing with a lot due to Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) return. Billy will promise he’s OK, but he’s clearly headed for trouble!
Other Y&R spoilers say Adam and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be summoned to hear the judge’s decision. They’ll be shouting at each other when the judge enters. He’ll scold them and insist he’s denying both of them custody. The judge will plan to revisit things in three months, but he’ll need Adam and Nick to settle on a suitable relative to care for Christian in the meantime. His honor makes it clear that if a suitable family member can’t be found then Christian will be placed in foster care!
It won’t be long until Adam seeks out Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) to insist she should care for Christian. The boy already knows Sharon and is comfortable with her. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will chime in that Adam’s just manipulating Sharon again before he leaves them to talk. After Sharon vows to help Adam, Rey will come downstairs to find that the cottage empty.
Meanwhile, Nick will turn to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) for assistance. He’ll note that he needs someone to temporarily take care of Christian. Victoria will try to fill Billy in by phone, but he won’t pick up. She’ll decide to act now and explain later, so she’ll head off with Nick.
Next, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will feel like Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) is avoiding him. He’ll get her to admit she needs time to reconcile the two versions of Kyle – the party boy he used to be and the man she’s engaged to. Kyle will feel confident they can overcome all this and move forward.
Over with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), he’ll run into Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue) and stir up trouble by mentioning that Lola had surgery. He’ll stun Celeste with that news as well as the news that Kyle tied the knot with Summer Newman (Hunter King). Soon after, Celeste will confront “Kola” about the liver transplant and Kyle’s previous marriage. She’ll insist that Theo spilled all before wondering how Lola could marry Kyle.
Kyle and Lola will assure Celeste that it was a complicated situation. After Lola requests a chat alone with her mom, she’ll snap that Celeste is in no position to judge her love life. It’ll eventually come out that Kyle married Summer to secure Lola’s liver donation, so Celeste will settle down about that part.
However, Celeste will remain agitated that she was kept out of the loop on the transplant. She’ll rage about Lola nearly dying and no one reaching out to her. Celeste will gripe about treated like an outsider and contend that she’s not going to stay where she’s not welcome.
As for Kyle, he’ll find Theo and rough him up a bit. Kyle will complain about Theo blabbing to Celeste before barking that Theo’s dead to him. He’ll also insist Theo will pay the price if Summer gets hurt!
