The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, May 29, tease that it’ll be a somber day of remembrance, but it should take an uplifting turn. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) put off the reading of Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) will for as long as he could, but it’s time to hear what Neil left behind. Some unexpected faces will be gathered as Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) gets started.
In a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, Head Writer Josh Griffith offered some details. “Many of Neil’s friends were surprised to be included in Neil’s will since many of them are in positions to provide for themselves,” Griffith said. “However, they will soon learn that you cannot put a price on Neil’s bequests.”
As for which Y&R characters will receive those bequests, let’s run down the list. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be left something. The same goes for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Ana Hamilton (Loren Lott) and Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will also be on hand along with Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). Of course, Devon will hear Neil’s will reading as well. He’ll hate letting go, but Neil’s kind final gestures should touch his heart. This will wrap up Neil’s goodbye arc and provide closure to a very fitting sendoff.
We should point out that there’ll be some tension before the will reading actually begins. The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Cane’s presence will bother Lily, but she should find a way to deal. In the end, Lily may accept that Cane’s in the will and deserves to hear what Neil had to say. She can surely stand being around Cane for a few minutes.
After Michael reads Neil’s last message to his friends and family, there should be some strong emotions. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that some powerful scenes are coming up. “Neil’s bequests are deeply heartfelt and will leave a lasting impression on his loved ones,” Griffith promised.
