The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of June 24-28 tease that the bombs will keep dropping in Genoa City. Y&R released an exciting new preview promo, which features three of GC’s key players: Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). We’ll definitely see some of the action in the week ahead, but these characters will continue to drive the story throughout the summer.
First, let’s talk about Phyllis. She’s on a vengeful mission and finally has some leverage thanks to her trip to Vegas. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will hold Adam’s connection to Chance Chancellor over his head. She won’t know why Adam wants to keep their link a secret, but he’ll be willing to put Phyllis on the Dark Horse throne to keep her quiet.
Y&R’s preview video also shows Phyllis grabbing Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) by the neck like she’s going to strangle him. Of course, Phyllis will just be trying to make a point. Kevin will do plenty of dirty work for Adam this summer, so Phyllis should get involved through her Dark Horse connection. She may also find out Kevin is the real kidnapping culprit, so he’ll definitely owe her for that.
As for Adam, he’ll be doing exactly what his determined brother is doing. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is on the hunt for dirt he can use against Adam in court. He’s tasked Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) with making it happen, but Adam will have Kevin in his corner. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will hope to make Nick look like an unfit parent.
If Adam can’t find what he’s looking for, maybe he’ll order Kevin to cook in up. We wouldn’t put it past Adam to manufacture some fake evidence with Kevin’s help. Regardless, Adam will also get some softer moments as Chelsea returns to town starting June 28. They’ll definitely feel the spark again, but their relationship will be awfully complicated.
Chelsea claims she’s married and that her new hubby is Connor Newman’s (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) adoptive dad. Whether that’s true or not, Chelsea will still feel an attraction toward Adam. There’s a magnetic “Chadam” pull that just can’t be denied. Chelsea will rant about Adam stabbing her in the back, but they’ll still end up kissing eventually. Like we said…it’s complicated!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea’s loyalty will be tested. She’ll start out on Nick’s side, but could she ultimately join Adam’s team? Part of the promo shows Adam telling Nick that he lost. He’ll think Nick should give it a rest, but that’s not something Nick can do when Christian Newman’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) future is at stake.
