The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that things will be heating up in Genoa City and beyond in the week to come. The new Y&R preview for the week of October 7-11 promises a major reunion, a big dismissal, and some serious family turmoil. First off, it seems that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have success in tracking down Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in Las Vegas, so they’ll be back face-to-face.
The new previews show Phyllis at a poker table with Adam, telling him that they’ll play with chips, but they’re not going to play for money. Perhaps Adam will lure Phyllis into a game as a means of selectively sharing information depending on who wins, which sounds like something he might do. Phyllis will probably be very curious about what Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) is doing fishing for information on Chance Chancellor (John Driscoll), so she’ll likely have a ton of questions.
Of course, getting straight answers from Adam is always a challenge, so we’ll see just what, if anything, Adam reveals. Other The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Cane is going to be in serious danger once he arrives on the Las Vegas scene, since he’ll be conked over the head and kidnapped while he’s searching for Chance. But will Adam be behind that?
Next, the new Y&R previews show Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) sitting down for a talk with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). As Y&R viewers will remember, Theo has been gunning for Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) job as Head of Power Communications, and at one point he even tried to trash talk Mariah to Devon, which didn’t go as planned.
Well, it seems that Theo will really mess up next week, as Devon is shown telling Theo that his ego and ambition have become serious liabilities, and that he’s no longer employed by any division of Hamilton-Winters in any capacity. Ouch! Theo must have done something pretty major to set Devon off like that. Whatever it was, combined with his connection to The Grand Phoenix drugging, was probably too much for Devon to take.
Finally, the new Y&R preview shows Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) committing an unspeakable act…throwing a dagger, or perhaps a letter opener, at Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) portrait in the Newman Enterprises offices! Afterwards, Victoria tells the portrait, “You’re not getting away with it this time, dad.”
As Y&R viewers know, Victoria has been terribly upset about the fallout at Newman Enterprises resulting from the death ruse that Victor concocted. It was supposed to be a plan to get Adam to confess to double-dosing Victor’s meds, but then Adam went and framed Victoria for murder, causing all sorts of problems for her. Of course, spending the night in jail was bad enough, but it seems that there could be professional fallout for her, too.
Could Victoria be forced to step down in her capacity as CEO of Newman Enterprises as a result of being arrested for murder? Sure, she was cleared of all wrongdoing, since no murder actually took place, but in the business world, perception is everything, and perhaps she’ll have to step down, or Victor will ask her to step down, from her position. At any rate, she’s going to be quite unhappy with her father.
