The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of September 2-6 tease that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will visit Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and insist their business has been concluded. Michael hates Adam with a passion, so he’ll be eager to put this twisted partnership to rest. He only got tangled up in this mess to save Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), so there’s no reason to keep the alliance going.
If Adam tried to rat Chloe out for shooting him, it would conflict with the story he previously gave the cops. Adam doesn’t have a sterling reputation in town anyway, so no one would be eager to believe him. He may agree to part ways for now, but he certainly won’t want Michael to hinder his plans. Perhaps Adam will warn Michael that if he steps out of line, retaliation won’t be a problem.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will decide to do some soul-searching. He can’t really pull that off while sitting behind a desk at Jabot. Jack is always stuck at work and that isn’t giving him the sense of fulfillment he craves. As a result, Jack will want to spend some time away from the company. He’ll decide his son is the best person to take over for him.
Y&R fans can expect a shocker for Kyle. Jack will note that he’d like for Kyle to be Jabot’s interim CEO. He’ll admit he needs a break to find himself and figure out what he wants out of life. Kyle will gladly step in the powerful role for his dad’s sake as well as his own. This is a huge opportunity for Kyle, so he won’t want to let Jack or even himself down.
Unfortunately, Kyle’s new responsibilities will mean working with Summer Newman (Hunter King) again. That’s bound to cause some drama in Kyle’s new marriage to Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle)! In the meantime, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will plot a devious move. He’ll rely on Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) hacking skills to carry out this attack on his father.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is battling a rare blood disease, but his treatment has been going pretty well. Adam will hope to prove his dad isn’t as invincible as he thinks. He’ll push Phyllis to hack into Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) tablet and secure Victor’s medical records, so Phyllis will have to ask why.
It’s possible Adam will want to mess with things and trip up the successful treatment. That seems awfully cruel, but it’s worth mentioning that Adam thinks Victor tried to kill him. He accuses Victor of the incident on route 7 in Friday’s episode, so he may think Pop has this coming.
Regardless, Adam is heading into dangerous territory here. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will catch Adam red-handed this week, so she could figure out what he’s up to.
