The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that someone mysterious is set to appear on the CBS soap. Loren Lott (Ana Hamilton) recently posted an Instagram story with some great hints about what’s ahead. She was thrilled to spot a hunk she’s always admired on the Y&R set, so she decided to share the big news with fans.
Here’s what we know about this mystery actor so far. Lott revealed that it’s a guy from one of her favorite childhood movies. She admitted she used to gush about him with all her friends. Lott is 26, so keep that in mind. We’d guess her prime gushing years were probably around the early 2000s.
Of course, Lott might’ve liked a movie that had been around for a while. There are just too many films out there to narrow it down completely, but it’s still an intriguing clue. Lott also didn’t specify whether this actor had been on The Young and the Restless before. It’s possible that this is actually a fan favorite popping back in for a visit.
However, Lott made it sound like it was a new guest star. She never mentioned the words “back” or “returning,” so a debut seems more likely. Then again, perhaps Lott was just being careful about how much she divulged. As much as we’d love more info, we have to give her props for that. Most Y&R rookies tend to accidentally spill a major secret or two, so Lott’s doing pretty well.
The Young and the Restless fans still want to know who this mystery man is though! In fact, plenty of people sent messages to Lott and begged her to give up the name. Lott had to shut down that idea. She can’t let anyone in on the secret yet because it hasn’t been officially announced. It’s wise to keep a tight lid on this and not risk angering TPTB.
If you’re wondering what Lott said exactly, we’ve got her Instagram story comments. They certainly show just how overjoyed she was! Lott said, “My freaking childhood, CHILDHOOD crush is working on the show today. I mean, I’m an adult now, but y’all…I’m so excited just to meet him!”
After the questions poured in, Lott felt the need to respond. “So all you guys are asking me who my childhood crush is who’s on the show right now…I can’t say because it’s not revealed yet that he’s on the show! But I met him…and he was cool! I was so excited though.” Lott’s use of “right now” suggests this is a temporary gig. It may even be a bit of stunt casting to draw viewers in briefly.
