The brothers work to prepare the foundation of their upcoming home for cement delivery. For Gabe, he is also excited since his daughter will be born in roughly a week. Bird, Noah, and Alicia cut the rebar. Bird gets excited to use Noah’s welding torch.

Bear works to raise his bed in his home after he realizes he may have a mice problem. Meanwhile, the rest of the family is trying to prepare for winter. Bird and Gabe hear a gunshot nearby and it isn’t coming from anyone in the family. It seems there are hunters on the borders of their land. They head back to camp. They tell the others. They all talk about what they can do. They decide they will post signs at the access points.

The next morning, they all wake to several feet of snow. After chopping wood, they work to put up fencing. They get tired trying to make it through the snow on foot. Bird and Gabe work together. They realize they don’t even have a knife to cut a branch, Bird shoots it.

Bam and Bear find a fire while they are putting up fencing. Bear can tell the fire was made recently. The next day, Bird gets to work on their rodent problem. She gets her cats to help.

Gabe meets with his parents. They think using their horses to put the fences up will help. Billy and Ami give Gabe some pointers.

Bam and Bear head back out to add fencing. The others work to salt the roads so the cement truck can make it through to pour the foundation shortly. Meanwhile, Billy is showing Gabe how to get on the horse. Gabe tests out riding the horse while Billy looks proud. Billy knows Gabe is going to be a great dad.

Bird arrives home and thinks she may have a pack rat problem. She finds a frozen rat and decides she is going to thaw it out for her cats. Rain thinks she is a little too involved with her cats and may actually think she is one.

Bear and the others work on the roads again. The cement truck is set to arrive in just a day. Bear comes to see Gabe who wants to show off his riding skills. Bear is impressed. After Bear walks off, Gabe falls off his horse. He doesn’t think Bear saw him. He needs to practice more before he takes the horse, Diego, out.

Bird works to make a great meal for her cats. Rain thinks Bird needs a boyfriend since she is feeding her cats a rat and chicken dipped in milk.

The family works to spread gravel and salt the next day over a slick road. They pray the truck can make it. It isn’t long before they see a big truck make its way down the road. Later, Bird and Rain sit and eat a sheet cake with their hands. After they need to relax.

A storm nears. The family gets nervous about the concrete. The truck makes it to the foundation and pours the cement. Everyone couldn’t be happier.

Days later, the bad weather is gone. Gabe takes out the horse for a ride. He feels confident like a cowboy. He meets up with the others to put up more fences. Bird and the brothers are impressed. Billy is happy to pass down all of the knowledge to leave a legacy. After, Gabe and Racquel pack so they can go and have their baby.
