Noah practices with his staff in the yard while wearing the Star Wars robes he received from Bird. Later, Noah and Bird collect pine cones and branches to use as pieces to play chess in the snow.
The family is now back to work on building the house and preparing for winter after several days of very cold weather. It is lumbar at the bottom of the hill but they need to find a way to get it up the hill with the roads being slippery and snowy.
Noah and Bird cannot get the truck started. They check under the hood and see animals have chewed the wires. Noah tells Bird she needs to tell Dad. She feels like she always has to deliver bad news.
Bam, Bird, and the others work on the foundation. Meanwhile, Bear has notice the windmill needs to be fixed again and that the family’s water system is frozen. Bear goes to tell the others. They all sit and plan how they will get through. Noah knows they only have 3 days worth of water. Bear heads to try and insulate the windmill while Noah works to get water for them.
Rain and Alicia are working to clean off all of the lumber. The pair likes to spend time together and talk. Alicia likes to work and contribute. Bear grabs blankets to head out and insulate the pipes. Once he arrives at the windmill, Bear works to warm the pipes.
Bird wakes and starts a fire. She cooks a breakfast of eggs. Meanwhile, Noah arrives at a junkyard to find a flatbed.
Noah barters with the junkyard owner and heads home. Meanwhile, Bam, Bear, and Gabe all try to insulate the pipes better. Bear is annoyed a bit that Bam is second-guessing him. They start to argue. Gabe thinks they need to just keep moving.
Noah and Alicia are on their way up the hill with their water when she notices the truck might be leaking oil. They get a closer look and see it’s far worse and the transmission is going. After adding some fluid, they make it up the hill. They start giving the animals water.
Gabe grabs some insulation to haul it up the hill. Bear meets him on the hill. They have been looking for him. They insulate the windmill before dark.
In the morning, Bam and Bear head down the hill with the truck to get the lumber. Bear thinks Bam is a bit negative about the truck. When they reach the bottom, the two debate if they should try to take all of the wood up in one shot.
Rain works to warm her make-up by the fire. Bam and Bear try to make it up the hill with all of the wood. They make it. They head to check the water pipes. It is running. They are all very happy. They bring water to the animals. Later, they all work on the house with excitement after making it through all of their latest challenges.
