The brothers continue to work on their parent’s homes and communal space. Billy can’t believe what a winter it has been. They decide to cut the longest wall and hoist it up after they crushed it last time. Gabe is happy after the wall goes up pretty easy for them.
It is Eli’s first birthday. They decide they want to go with a renaissance theme. Rain gets to work on a homemade gift for him. She makes a horse out of wood and buckets with yarn.
Rain, Bird, and Noah load up wood. They bring it up the access road to continue building the house. Bear and Bam are at the house. Gabe is spending time with his baby. Bam and Bear wish they had more hands.
The next day, they need to lug wood by hand without the truck that is broken. They all miss Gabe. They could use his muscles. Later, all the Brown’s work to prepare for Eli’s birthday. Billy plans to hand down his pocket watch.
Bird and Bear spend some time together as she preps him to be a dad. They practice holding skills and more. Bear cannot wait to be a dad.
Bam works up on high the second story of the house. He feels like he should have a harness on but he doesn’t. Bear is also up high. Gabe decides to climb up. They yell at him. He might break a joist. He continues to climb. Bam is very irritated.
Gabe makes it up. They get some work done. The sun goes down. But they are happy with their process.
Bird works on a stew for the birthday. The rest of the family is also up early. Bear works to make his renaissance attire. They all arrive dressed in their best. A fire is going. Chicken wings are smoking. They get to the gifts. Billy hands down his pocket watch. After, the sibling’s swordfight for fun.
The family learns of the pandemic as it begins. They all sit in a circle talking. They are all worried about Billy as he has health problems. The filming crew has to go home. The family plans to document what they can on their own.
One Month Later…..
Bird records the family framing out all of the walls for the house. They have gotten a lot done since filming ended. They discover a bird’s nest. Spring is making its way to the mountains.
Later, Gabe and Billy come face to face with a bear. They manage to scare it off. Rain comes, causing a problem for building. They get to work putting the roof on.
Days later, the film crew is back. They show off the house. Smoke makes its way up the mountain. The crew thinks they all need to leave. They discover there are brush fires. They worry about their animals and the house, their home. Emergency officials tell them they need to leave. The crew and the family are separated as they rush to leave. Rain cries as she drives down the mountain. Bam and Bear are together and worry was the rest of the family is. They rush to see where their parents are. They cross paths with their parents and Gabe. They all turn around. Helicopters and planes come out to drop water and more. Bird cries. She didn’t get her gun or her frog. Rain doesn’t know what they can do.
