Wendy is in Tanner’s bed, he is sitting in a chair and drawing a picture of her. He tells her that he doesn’t want a relationship with her out in the world. He signs the picture and gets back in bed with her.
Axe is with Wags, still trying to get his bank. Spyros is with them, they are meeting with the SCC. The woman they are meeting with knows all about Axe. In the end, she tells him that she will write the letter that he wants but it will warn the FDIC and the federal reserve that he has been a regulatory armageddon and they would be crazy to give him a bank charter.
Axe and Wags return to the office with Spyros, Axe is upset, he tells his team that the world is against him right now and need to come up with an idea to change his footprint so he can get his bank. Taylor tells Wendy that there is an opportunity here for them, give Axe what his team cannot.
Sean visits Axe and tells him that the liberty of their tax haven is threatened. There is a painting problem. Then we see a painting being delivered, they got searched and the officer wouldn’t accept a bribe. Those paintings were indeed replicas, the original is in Axe’s apartment and he has to hide them.
Chuck finds out about the painting, he sees actual fraud – he is sure he has seen the original in Axe’s apartment.
Axe goes home and Chuck arrives at his apartment to get Kevin’s Nintendo that he left in the apartment. The two head upstairs. Axe tells Chuck he must be going for father of the year. Chuck notices a wine, a vintage sitting on a table. Chuck is looking around at the paintings, Axe opens up the wine. Chuck makes a comment about a Van Gough that is on the wall, Axe says it is a replica. Chuck purposely spills wine on the painting, Axe panics. Chuck drinks the rest of the wine and says it is time to return to work.
Chuck goes downstairs, he tells Kate the paintings are real, she says she is going to get a subpoena.
Chuck gets a blood test, he should have the results by the end of the day.
Axe goes to see Wendy and tells her that her ex is using their kid to terrorize his property. She tells him that someone else’s past is a thorn in their side right now, Oscar Langstraat. Axe notices the painting of Tanner’s, he says now he knows why he has seen no art, this is his distraction.
Axe asks Wags if he knew about Wendy and the artist. Wags says he can worry about that, Axe should concentrate on the bank. Axe says he will do both, the freeport is the bank, this is Chuck’s way of blocking it. Axe tells Wags to tighten the rope and put on the spurs.
Wags get his results, he is not a match for senior.
Axe’s apartment is being watched by NYPD and an art appraiser is going to be there tomorrow. Chuck goes to see his father, he finds him in the dining room with the lights out. He tells his father that he is not a match. He tells his father that he is sorry that he is scared, and he is sorry that he is not a match.
Axe finds out about the subpoena, he cannot move the paintings and the canvases will be authenticated. Axe tells Mark that if he doesn’t fix this he is going to find himself in a box.
Chuck goes to see Wendy, he asks her if she will take a blood test to see if she is a match. She says what is the point, he says saving a life. She says that no matter what, even if she was a match, she wouldn’t give his father her kidney. She asks him why he is racked with guilt because he really doesn’t want to help his father. Chuck heads over this girlfriend’s house and asks if he can look at her books, she has a whole library in her living room. He wants her help to threaten the DA.
Taylor goes to see Wendy and tells her that Oscar went over the top, she can’t overspend him and she needs her help. Wendy tells her to wave a war, without jail time. Taylor says she needs Bob.
Tanner is out having pie with Axe who tells him that he needs him to paint something for him, a portrait of the sitting treasury secretary.
Oscar loses over Tanner, she gets Hard Bob involved and she tells Oscar to go back to the Bay and heal baby heal.
Chuck shows up at Axe’s house with the subpoena, he turns his apartment into a private art museum. Axe says he should have done it years ago, he thanks Chuck for the idea. Chuck leaves.
Spyro gets exam results, he passes and shows it off to the team. Little does he know he had help with the exam because the team knew he couldn’t pass it.
Wendy goes to see Chuck’s father, she says she had her blood typed, they are not a match. He says his daughter won’t even remember him, but Chuck, if he is not here to push him and to mold him, who knows how much he will screw himself up.
Chuck goes to see his girlfriend and tells her that it got ugly. He walks in the apartment, there is a girl there dressed in lingerie, he asks her if it is a reward or a lesson.
