He prepares for the arrival of his first child by making a special video for Abbie. Abbie goes into labor, but it’s deemed a false alarm. After laboring overnight, she and John meet their daughter.”

John is making a video for Abbie and the baby. It is 2 weeks before her due date and she is tired. She has been napping a lot. John gets Abbie in the video, interviewing her, but she doesn’t really know what he is doing.
John goes to Joe and Kendra to add them to the video. John then heads to see his parents. The family has noticed how John has changed, he is more romantic and sentimental since he met Abbie. John asks questions, interviewing his family. They all cannot wait to meet the baby. John plans to show Abbie the video after the baby is born.
Ben and Jessa are building birdhouses with the kids. Spurgeon and Henry are excited. After visiting the zoo, they now love birds. After building the birdhouse, they all paint. Henry spells his name. This makes Ben and Jessa really happy since he had speech delays.
Since Abbie cannot reach her feet, John gives her a pedicure. They talk about their plan for when Abbie goes into labor. They plan to call both their moms.
At Jinger and Jeremy’s, Jinger is making her daughter play-doh. Jeremy is taking classes as well as working so Jinger tries to keep Felicity entertained. Jeremy recalls his mother making him play-doh. Jinger is impressed at how Felicity sits and plays.
It is 2:30 a.m. and it looks as though Abbie in labor. Her contractions are 5 minutes apart. They call their moms. John’s mom is going to act as somewhat of a doula. They call ahead to the hospital. Abbie hopes she can give birth naturally. John hopes things will go smoothly.
After arriving at the ER, Abbie finds out she is in false labor. They head back home. Michelle understands how upsetting this must be.
Back at home, in the morning, John and Abbie’s parents both come over to help with Abbie whose contractions are back and running anywhere from 4-8 minutes. Jessa recalls her first labor. It felt long and exhausting. She didn’t anticipate that.
Abbie’s dad reads scripture to her. She didn’t expect he would be there but finds his presence comforting. They head back to the hospital. Abbie is dilated 3 cm. They admit her. Michelle hopes things change while Abbie is frustrated her body isn’t doing what she expected.
It has been 24 hours and Abbie is now 5 cm. dilated. Back at home, Jana and the others head to the store to buy snacks. They add it to a basket and deliver it to the hospital.
The doctor decides to help Abbie’s labor along with Pitocin and an epidural. After, Abbie rests. While she is sleeping she progresses to 10 cm. dilated. Shortly after Abbie gives birth to their baby girl Grace.
Later, the family goes home. Grace is now 2 days old. The rest of the family plans to come and visit to meet Grace. They have never had so much family over to their place at once. They think Grace is so cute.
2 Weeks Later
John and Abbie are already in a routine and happy to be a family of three. John decides to show Abbie the video he made. She is amazed by his sweetness. He always surprises her.
