Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that some Salemites are more focused on their careers than others. A few characters are always working hard, but others are hardly working! Of course, there are also some characters who have a good reason or are in a transition period.
Everybody’s different in Salem, but we want to focus on three characters who’ll score new jobs in the coming weeks. Let’s run down the list and ponder the positions that might be tackled. There are bound to be challenges that result from these jobs and the learning curve that comes with them.
1) Jake Lambert
Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) was offended when Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) offered the olive branch of the executive training program. It seemed fair considering Jake has no corporate experience.
Jake got lucky when that one client liked the fact that he was a little rough around the edges. Not every client will respond as well to crude jokes and sloppy rib-eating!
There’s no way Chad will ever willingly be co-CEO with him, which is what Jake had in mind. Jake also mentioned potentially getting back in the garage, but it seems Days writers will soon take Jake in a different direction.
On November 17, Jake and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will spend some time smooching while Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) spies. The next day, Jake will land a new job. Will Kate be the one who helps Jake land it? Kate might put a good word in for Jake if some position at the mayor’s office opens up.
Then again, Kate might use her powers of persuasion to work out a compromise between Jake and Chad. That could be tough since Gwen will be stirring up conflict between the brothers, but we’re betting Kate will have a hand in Jake’s new gig one way or another.
2) Ben Weston
That brings us to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). After Jake bailed Ben out of jail, he brought up the possibility of returning to the garage and suggested Ben could help again.
Ben was basically Jake’s right-hand man, but perhaps he’ll become lead mechanic now that Jake will be working elsewhere. Anything that gets Ben’s mind off his crushing Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) grief should be a good thing.
3) Chloe Lane
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) will return to Salem this December and will be sticking around. Naturally, that means Chloe will need somewhere to work. DOOL fans can expect Chloe to take on a surprising new job down the road.
We’re hearing that it may be a bit outside of Chloe’s usual box, so perhaps Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) will get her in the corporate game – at least if Philip’s still in power by then!
On the other hand, Chloe has tons of other connections in town. Salem is a land of opportunities for Chloe, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store.
