Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) will have a big decision to make during the week of July 13-17. Although Jake will want to take the memory serum and figure out who he is once and for all, some bizarre news will leave Jake uncertain about injecting himself.
Jake will get updates on Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) twisted obsession with Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) alternate personality, “Gabby.” The more Jake hears about Stefan and his creepy fixation, the less enthusiastic he’ll be about remembering Stefan’s life.
Jake gets all hot and bothered by Gwen (Emily O’Brien), but he doesn’t seem like the type who’d fall into bed with a mentally ill woman wearing a wig. It’s easy to imagine Jake arguing that he’d never take a woman to bed without her consent, which Abigail obviously couldn’t give in that state.
Jake’s bound to feel very disconnected from Stefan’s actions, despite the DNA results suggesting they’re the same person. Days spoilers say things will make more sense to Jake once Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera) admits Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) gave birth to twins. Jake will be glad to know he wasn’t the one who preyed upon Abigail when she needed mental help.
Of course, this sounds like a great way to set up the love quad that’s coming up on Days of Our Lives. DOOL fans just saw Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) hit it off with Gwen, and they’ll continue to connect in the week ahead.
Chad was quite intrigued when he heard Gwen talking about “that DiMera bitch,” so they’ll find plenty of common ground as they rant about Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).
Jake may also find a reason to bond with Abigail, although things may be a bit awkward at first. Jake may not be Stefan, but he’ll probably wind up apologizing on his brother’s behalf. Perhaps Jake will let Abigail know that he’s sorry that Stefan took advantage of her.
Stefan raped Abigail, so Jake may suggest he wouldn’t blame Abigail if she couldn’t stand to be around him. Jake’s face is certainly a reminder of a painful time in Abigail’s life – and the last thing Abby will need upon returning is more pain.
Nevertheless, Abigail may find herself drawn to Jake. She’ll surely see the differences between the twins and could perhaps argue that Jake feels like a completely different person – because he is. Abigail’s an understanding gal, so she may get past Jake’s appearance and focus on the heart inside.
Jake’s used to wild women like Gwen, but he’ll likely wind up falling for sweet and sensible Abigail. Marci Miller’s gentle portrayal of Abby is perfect for this Days story of Jake shifting away from his usual type. Jake may let his feelings lead him in a new direction – one driven by love instead of lust.
