Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that there’s good news to report for Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) fans. There have been tons of cast changes lately – and many of them have involved major departures. However, Deadline is reporting that Alison Sweeney signed a new deal for a long-term stint. Sweeney will be heading back to the Days studio to film more episodes starting next month.
We should note that Sami’s current arc will wrap up in late September, so she’ll exit briefly before returning later in 2020. Sami’s upcoming stint will last through most of 2021, so this will be her longest run since leaving as a full-time cast member in 2014.
In other words, buckle up because Sami’s going to be stirring up trouble for what should be close to a year!
Of course, that also means more family drama. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sami’s next storyline will be an emotional one. It’ll involve Sami, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and the rest of her relatives, so it’ll be interesting to see where DOOL goes with this.
Since this is supposed to be a gripping story, there’s a chance Allie’s baby will face a medical crisis or something along those lines. That might be a way to bring the family together after all the custody chaos.
Allie and Sami have major issues to work through, but they’ll have plenty of time to do it now that Sami’s coming back for a longer stint.
Naturally, we have to wonder if other characters might return as part of Sami’s hot plot. Is Sami really just going to leave recovering EJ DiMera (last played by James Scott) in Italy for that long?
What about Sami’s other kids, Johnny DiMera (last played by Aaron and Griffin Kunitz) and Sydney DiMera (last played by Berlyn and Brooklyn Baca)? Maybe some recasts could be brewing eventually!
Regardless, it’s nice to know Sami will be around for the majority of 2021. Love her or hate her, Sami always brings some entertaining mayhem! As other Days news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you in the loop.
