Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will soon have a big decision on her hands. As DOOL viewers know, Allie has come back to Salem pregnant and she’s just told Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and her dad Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo) that she’s going to have the baby. But it seems that Allie will soon decide that she won’t want to keep and raise the baby herself, and her brother Will Horton (Chandler Massey) will have a lot to do with that.
According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Allie will sit down with Will and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith), and she’ll catch up with them and hear about some of the interesting times they’ve had recently with their daughter Ari Horton (Sydney Brower).
Of course, parenting isn’t easy, and it seems that Allie will listen as Will and Sonny discuss the trials and tribulations of parenting.
Well, soon it will dawn on Allie that in just a few weeks she’s going to have a real live baby on her hands, and she’ll start to appreciate exactly what that will entail.
Allie will apparently decide that she’s just not ready for that kind of commitment at this time in her life, and she’ll come to the decision that she wants to put her baby up for adoption.
Allie will shortly thereafter catch up with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), with whom she shares a close relationship from back when Rafe was with her mom Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).
According to DOOL spoilers, Allie will feel terribly for Rafe since he’s recently lost custody of David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends), and it looks like she’ll get a bright idea and will want Rafe to adopt her baby.
Allie will probably think that this is a perfect solution – she’d be giving her baby to someone who she knows will be a terrific dad, and she’ll be able to have some contact with the baby going forward, to the extent that she and Rafe work out those details. All indications at this point seem like Allie is going to want Rafe to have her baby.
Well, it also seems that Will and Sonny may come to the realization on their own that they could potentially adopt Allie’s baby as their own. It looks like they’ll discuss the possibility and get pretty excited about it.
DOOL viewers will remember that Will and Sonny were terribly upset when one of the adoption agencies balked at their adoption inquiry, allegedly due to Will’s prison stint.
However, Will and Sonny thought that they might be getting rejected due because they’re a gay couple, and adopting Allie’s baby would be one way of bypassing any bias that they might encounter at other adoption agencies. It seems that “WilSon” may get themselves all set on trying to adopt Allie’s baby – when she’s already chosen Rafe as the adoptive parent.
We’ll see how things end up here – Rafe may not even be ready to adopt at this point, given that he’s just lost David and he might feel that he needs some time to cope with the loss and process everything.
But it seems that Will and Sonny will be up for some bad news, as Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will pass on some upsetting information to them, which will probably be about Allie’s choice of Rafe.
Sadly, it looks like Will and Sonny will get themselves all excited about the prospect of adopting Allie’s baby, and it makes sense that Will would think that he’s a shoe-in to adopt the kid. After all, he’s Allie’s big brother and he would already be related to the baby as his uncle.
It would also keep everyone in the family, like Lucas Horton (Brian Dattilo) and maybe even Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) happy since the baby would still be in the family.
But then again, this is Allie we’re talking about, and she seems to be pretty determined when she sets her mind to something, and she’s going to think that Rafe is the perfect person to be the father to her baby. It might take some serious persuasion on Will and Sonny’s part to get Allie to see that perhaps they should be the parents to her little boy or girl.
Of course, there’s another wrinkle in this whole thing, and that’s that Sami has yet to find out that Allie is pregnant. Sami will certainly have some strong feelings about Allie just handing her baby over to someone else.
DOOL spoilers say that Lucas is going to lobby pretty hard for Allie to keep her baby – he’s already bellowed about her taking responsibility and his desire to help her raise the baby. What will Sami want?
Well, we’ll find out later this summer when Sami returns and learns about the predicament that Allie has found herself in. Sami might have some serious thoughts about Rafe getting her daughter’s baby, or about Will and Sonny getting the baby for that matter. We’ll have to wait a while to see those fireworks begin, but it should be quite a scene!
