Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) may take some bold steps to help himself following his latest ordeal. DOOL fans know Ben underwent terrible pain thanks to Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and her accomplice, Vincent (Michael Teh).
Once Ben’s rescued and back in Salem, he’ll be haunted by the conditioning tactics Vincent and Eve used.
Ben was given a dose of a pleasure-enhancing drug whenever he saw a picture of his murder victims, but he was zapped when he saw images of Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal).
It’ll be tough for Ben to shake that mindset, but you can bet he’s going to try! Even so, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben will wrestle with deadly nightmares and dark thoughts of killing Ciara.
Although Ben will keep his inner battle a secret at first, this has to be building to some big Days climax. There’ll likely be a moment when Ben genuinely tries to strangle Ciara – only to snap out of it in the end. Although that wouldn’t be Ben’s fault, it may scare Ben so much that he breaks up with his true love!
It’s easy to imagine Ben checking back into Bayview following Ciara’s murder attempt. Ben might tell Ciara they’re over for good and then refuse her visits – at least until Ciara can make her onscreen exit down the road. If Ben cuts off contact, Ciara might decide it’s too painful to stick around.
Ciara would feel so close to Ben, yet so far. It’d be better for Ciara to put some physical distance between them to go with the emotional distance. Ciara might leave Salem in despair – either with the intention of returning later or with a plan to build a new life elsewhere.
Either way, Ben may have to do another Bayview stint to beat Eve’s brainwashing techniques. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has taken a special interest in Ben as her patient, so maybe she’ll join the team to get him back to his old self.
Of course, Ben will never be exactly the same without Ciara by his side. Despite Ben’s recovery, he may think it’s best if Ciara stays as far away as possible. Ben could never be sure he wouldn’t relapse, so he’d think of it as protecting the woman he adores.
