Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that after the kidnapping mess is over and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) is safe, Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) will get back to wedding planning. DOOL viewers know Ciara and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) are tackling this challenge together, so she wants him to be involved every step of the way.
However, the next step of this process will bring some conflict. That’s because it involves Ciara’s maid of honor – a spot that Claire Brady’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) pushing hard for. During the week of June 22-26, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben and Ciara will argue about Claire’s potential role in the wedding.
Ciara will undoubtedly lean toward letting Claire stand up for her. After all, Claire was willing to provide important info about Gwen (Emily O’Brien). Although Claire was hesitant to get Gwen in any sort of trouble, she did the right thing for Gabi’s sake.
Ciara urged Claire to prove she wanted to make amends, so Claire did her part. Ciara may think Claire should be rewarded for that, especially since Claire’s not doing anything particularly concerning so far. Paying a visit to Ciara wasn’t some terrible thing.
It’s not like Claire brought matches and set the room on fire; she was just there to talk.
Nevertheless, Ben was quick to step between Claire and Ciara. He was clearly uncomfortable with Claire getting so close. Once Ciara suggests that she’s seriously considering Claire as her maid of honor, Ben’s going to express his fears.
He just won’t think this is a good idea, so we have to ask the question Ciara will probably ask: Is Ben being fair to Claire?
We get that Ben’s looking out for Ciara, and it’s sweet that he’s being so protective. Ben doesn’t want to see anything happen to the love of his life, so it’s understandable that he’d be wary.
At the same time, Ben’s best man is literally a guy that he strangled to “death.” Many Days fans vividly remember watching Ben in the necktie killer storyline.
Ben drained the life out of Will Horton (Chandler Massey), who was later found by a horrified Gabi. Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) sobbed over their son’s body in the morgue.
Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) fell to the floor in overwhelming, soul-crushing grief after Will was gone. Will later turned up alive, but that doesn’t change what happened before.
Serena Mason (Melissa Archer), Paige Larson (True O’Brien) and Wendy Taylor (Denice Duff) the midwife are all still dead as far as viewers know. Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) was also tormented repeatedly along with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Ben was mentally ill and thankfully got the help he needed at Bayview – where Claire was just released from.
People suffered because of what Ben did, but Ciara took a chance on a man who had changed. Will gave Ben another shot as well and they’re buddies now. Look at it this way: Ben tried to kill Will, and Claire tried to kill Ciara.
If Ben’s former victim can be his best man, it’s tough to argue against Claire serving as Ciara’s maid of honor. That may be how Ciara presents her argument during this quarrel with Ben.
Will Ben ultimately relent and give Claire an opportunity to prove she’s changed? It seems likely, but chaos is brewing down the road. Days spoilers hint that Claire’s motives are legit, but some misfortune’s coming up.
It doesn’t look like Claire’s maid of honor wish will pan out in the end. Claire may head back to Bayview for causing the wedding horror when it won’t even be her fault!
