Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a new hint has surfaced about a potentially deadly exit for Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal). In an interview with TV Guide, Days Executive Producer Ken Corday dropped a shocking clue – one that could mean a departing Salemite won’t make it out alive. Let’s look at what Corday had to say in a revealing comment.
The article notes that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) are all making their onscreen exits soon.
Of course, we should add that some other DOOL exits are coming up, but those three are the ones mentioned. Corday’s comment seems to apply to one of them specifically, although we’ll just have to wait and see on that.
Regardless, Corday assured fans who might be concerned about a deadly fate. “No one ever really dies on Days of Our Lives,” Corday insisted. That’d be a super weird comment to make if someone wasn’t “dying,” now wouldn’t it? Corday isn’t saying that because everyone’s going to live happily ever after.
The intention behind that comment seems to be that the outcome may be deadly – or will at least appear to be deadly – but that it can always be undone. Just ask Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay), who’s the master of bringing people back to life! However, the point is someone may end up dead or “dead” for now.
If that’s what Corday’s getting at and it applies to one of those three characters mentioned, we can rule out Hope. Alfonso still had scripts left to shoot before she decided she wouldn’t be returning after the shutdown.
In other words, Hope never filmed an exit and that wasn’t supposed to be the end, so she isn’t going to die when she vanishes from the screen in October. Hope will simply stop appearing.
Based on what we’re hearing about Vaughan’s departure, it doesn’t look like Eric will leave with much fanfare either. There’s nothing to indicate that Eric shot anything very dramatic.
Plus, we can’t imagine what danger Eric would get himself into when he spends his days lecturing Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and making pancakes with Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander).
Meanwhile, we’ve got Ciara – whose husband has literally been brainwashed to kill her. Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) is doing his best to fight off Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and Vincent’s (Michael Teh) terrible conditioning, but that could prove awfully tough after Ben goes into a lethal trance.
Naturally, there’s no guarantee Ciara will be dead-dead when she leaves. There’s always a chance Ciara’s death could be faked since that’d achieve basically the same result. As long as Ben believes he killed Ciara, Eve would still get her wish for Ben’s unbearable pain.
Regardless, Corday’s hint about no one ever really dying in Salem is intriguing. It definitely raises suspicions that someone will at least appear to die – and that someone could easily be Ciara. As other Days news and updates emerge, we’ll pass along the latest details.
