Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that an exciting return could be in the works. Although nothing’s been confirmed at this point, there have definitely been some intriguing hints on the show – and there are more to come. Could Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry) be on his way back from the dead?
Let’s consider a recent conversation between Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Victor pointed out that Philip was unhappy with him when Philip left town.
The fact that Victor was trying to downplay things riled Philip and led to a Deimos mention. Philip ranted about how Deimos kidnapped and drugged him before Victor took Deimos’ side!
Victor explained that he was just trying to do what was best for the family, but Philip felt betrayed and argued that he was collateral damage. Philip suggested that some family members must be more important than others.
Of course, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) seems poised to feel betrayed soon as well. Philip will only stay in town if Victor gives him the CEO spot at Titan – the same CEO spot he just gave back to Xander.
Victor hinted to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) that Xander’s happiness may be short-lived. It looks like Victor’s going to yank the throne away from Xander, so he’ll be the bitter betrayed Kiriakis next.
Xander’s going to need a partner in crime – perhaps another Kiriakis family member who’s a schemer and would love to target Victor along with Philip. This is the prime opportunity to bring Deimos back from the dead. If Xander secretly knows Deimos is alive, that’d be even better!
It turns out another possible Deimos clue is coming up – and it involves the custody hearing for Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) baby. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) will use Deimos’ murder against Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) in front of the judge.
Naturally, “murder” isn’t really accurate here since Nicole killed Deimos while on Halo – a drug that was given to Nicole by Deimos himself. It was Deimos’ own fault that he got killed, so it’s silly that Days has turned this into some big thing.
Nevertheless, it’s interesting that Sami will bring this up at the custody hearing. It just feels entirely out of left field.
We’ve got Philip mentioning Deimos and the ruthless things he did. We’ve got Sami mentioning Deimos and how he supposedly died. If DOOL isn’t bringing Deimos back, they’re bypassing the perfect groundwork for that shocker.
Xander could be tempted to revert to his old conniving ways soon enough. Deimos is certainly needed as a villain in Salem; he’d be the ideal person to lead Xander back to the dark side.
