Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) faceoff with Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) brought a surprising revelation. After Eve reminded Claire that she had her back when Claire was going through a rough time, Claire ranted about Eve being an enabler. She eventually brought up Eve framing her for the “Cin” wedding sabotage, which Eve was baffled by.
Eve insisted she had no idea what Claire was talking about – and why would she lie? After all, Eve confessed to being behind the church bomb. In fact, Eve basically said she would’ve been fine if deaths had resulted from that move. Any casualties would’ve just been collateral damage in Eve’s pursuit of justice.
If Eve was willing to admit that, there’s no reason for her to deny trivial things like trying to ruin a wedding dress with nail polish or stealing a ring. Eve had bigger things to worry about and wasn’t interested in framing Claire.
Of course, if Eve didn’t set Claire up, then we have to consider who did! There’s still a key player in this mystery that needs to be exposed.
The person behind the wedding sabotage seemingly had a motive to hurt all three people in this Days scenario: Claire, Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).
What about Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams)? Days of Our Lives insiders insist Tripp’s indeed coming back, so it’s possible Tripp was out for revenge.
It wouldn’t be the first time Tripp framed someone for something. Back when Tripp believed Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) was behind Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) death, he set her up for endangering patients at the hospital and later threatened her with a knife.
Tripp also plotted to frame Ben for arson once upon a time, so this could be a pattern for him. Ciara obviously preferred Ben over Tripp, so maybe Tripp’s still holding a grudge. As for Claire, she made a real mess of Tripp’s love life and was instrumental in trying to get Haley Chen (Thia Megia) deported.
Since Tripp is most likely Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) “baby daddy,” something tells us Tripp was probably spinning out when they hooked up. Things probably aren’t going well for Tripp at all, so he may blame Ciara, Ben and especially Claire on some level.
Tripp’s medical school dreams may have fallen apart, so he might’ve become bitter and traced his downfall back to those three in Salem. Did Tripp mark up Ciara’s wedding gown with nail polish and swipe that engagement ring? Did Tripp put something in Ciara’s drink before her wedding ceremony?
There’s no confirmation that Ciara was drugged, but we know someone sabotaged the dress and stole the ring. We also know it wasn’t Eve or Claire herself, so who was it? Tripp’s at least an option to consider here, particularly since he’s returning to DOOL.
