Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lani Price (Sal Stowers) will pull off her mission. She’s been determined to take down Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) with JJ Devereaux’s (Casey Moss) help, but the fight hasn’t been easy so far. JJ and Lani still have a few obstacles ahead, but they’ll ultimately get what they want: Gabi will confess to booby-trapping Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pacemaker.
Naturally, that means Gabi will also have to confess why. She’ll come clean about targeting Lani and seeking revenge for Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) death.
Julie’s wedding day collapse will prompt all this, so it’ll be interesting to see if that collapse is real or not. Regardless, Gabi’s public admission will lead to major consequences, but Lani will face a few unexpected ones of her own.
Lani’s undoubtedly hoping Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will understand her perspective once she explains. Of course, DOOL fans have to wonder how can Lani even begin to explain this. Gabi made some terrible choices, but so did Lani. She’s the one who let Gabi walk all over her from the very beginning.
Lani broke Eli’s heart and refused to tell him the real reason why. She dumped him at the altar and let Gabi stay in control of the app, which could’ve killed Eli’s grandma! To make matters worse, Lani let Eli fall for Gabi. He thinks Gabi’s a good person when she’s actually a scheming nightmare.
Eli may love Lani more, he developed true feelings for Gabi. Days spoilers say Eli’s about to find out he’s been sleeping with the enemy – and Lani knew the entire time.
Since Lani confided in Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and ultimately JJ, Eli won’t get why she couldn’t confide in him, too. In their upcoming confrontation, Eli might suggest they could’ve come up with a secret strategy to handle Gabi together.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lani will scramble to defend herself, but it sounds like Eli will be pretty upset. His anger should die down eventually, but he’ll have to get past the pain of all the lies and secrets first.
This could serve as one final obstacle to Lani and Eli’s long-awaited reunion. Eli should forgive Lani at some point, but she’ll have to make him see things her way before that happens.
