Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) will face a crushing setback. DOOL fans know Nicole’s deeply sorry for hiding the truth about Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s paternity. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is already suffering due to Mickey’s cancer, so Eric has gone pretty easy on her. Nicole, on the other hand, has been shut out since she came clean.
Eric’s had some time to reflect away from Salem, so Nicole may hope he’ll be more forgiving when he returns. She just wants a chance to get her life with Eric and Holly Jonas (Harlow and Scarlett Mallory) back on track. Unfortunately, a different plan will most likely derail that dream a little longer.
Nicole’s faking her relationship with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) for a couple crucial reasons. For starters, Nicole views this as a way to protect Brady from Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). She thinks her phony involvement with Brady will help keep him from getting sucked in again.
Nicole also wants to stick it to Kristen for having her life stolen during all the mask mayhem. Sadly, Nicole’s the one who’s going to get burned. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric will battle a deep sense of betrayal. He may get the wrong idea about Nicole and Brady’s bond – perhaps even from Kristen.
Of course, there’s also a chance Eric will witness a genuine moment of reconnection. That tends to happen when Brady and Nicole get too close. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric will deal with familiar insecurities and trust issues. He won’t be interested in feuding with his brother over Nicole once again.
Days spoilers say Nicole will scramble to explain what’s really going on, but will Eric buy it or even care? He’ll still be distraught over Mickey and feeling hurt over Nicole’s previous secret. To come home and find this new secret will be challenging.
Nicole may worry she’s blown any shot at an “Ericole” reunion, but she shouldn’t give up hope just yet. Eric and Nicole always have a way of coming back together.
In the meantime, Eric’s bound to blow up over Nicole and Brady’s pretend romance. He’ll be left wondering what’s real and what’s not. Nicole’s going to have a big mess on her hands, so stay tuned.
