Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Friday, July 3 Recap - Eli & Lani’s Romantic Wedding Night - Jake & Gwen Hit The Sheets

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, July 3, reveal that Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) arrived home after their wedding reception. Standing at the doorway of their apartment, Eli and Lani had a cute discussion about how Eli was going to carry Lani over the threshold. After going inside, Lani and Eli noticed that their apartment was decorated for their wedding night.

Eli surmised that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) must have arranged for the decorations and refreshments, and his suspicions were confirmed when he read the card that was sitting next to some sparkling cider and craft beer. Eli and Lani gave a toast to the perfect ending to an “interesting” day.

After some talk about their wedding crashers, Lani and Eli fed each other cake and canoodled happily on the bed. Lani then got up and came back wearing some slinky lingerie. Eli and Lani kissed as fireworks went off outside, then they fell back on the bed. Later, Eli and Lani talked happily as they cuddled in bed.

Eli thanked Lani for never giving up on him, and he said, “I love you, Mrs. Grant.” Lani said, “I was thinking Price-Grant,” and Eli said that whatever she wanted was fine as long as she always loved him. “I will always love you,” Lani said. Eli and Lani kissed happily.

At Julie’s Place, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) arrived and talked with Julie, who was just finishing up cleaning after Eli and Lani’s wedding. Julie and Hope sat down and drank champagne as Julie rehashed all the wedding goings-on to Hope.

Hope was stunned to hear about how both Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) and Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) had crashed the wedding.

At the Salem PD, Vivian called Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) by Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) name, but Jake didn’t appreciate it. Vivian begged Jake to let her help him, but Jake said that she didn’t look like she was in much position to help anyone right now. “Stefan, take my hand – you’ll feel my blood pulsing through your veins,” Vivian said, which made Jake freak out and leave.

But just then, Gabi came in and kept Jake from leaving. Gabi turned to Vivian and blasted her for crashing Eli and Lani’s wedding, then urged her to be a good mother and to tell “Stefan” about how he grew up.

Vivian moaned that she couldn’t, and Jake piped up and wanted to know about the day she gave birth to him. “It’s complicated,” Vivian said.

Off-screen, Vivian told him the story of how he came to be. “So, you didn’t raise me?” Jake asked. “I had no choice. I was told you died in childbirth,” Vivian said. “You were given up for adoption without my knowledge. I only met you as an adult,” Vivian continued.

Vivian explained that Stefan showed up as “Sam Maitland” and that they came to Salem and took over DiMera Enterprises.

Jake got upset by all of this and left, with Gabi following after him. However, Gabi couldn’t catch up with Jake, and so Gabi came back in to talk to Vivian some more. Vivian moaned that “Stefan” seemed different and that he’d changed, and Gabi said that they needed to help him.

Gabi concluded that Vivian should go talk to Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) and convince him to cough up the serum so Jake could get his memory back.

Vivian said that she couldn’t go anywhere and asked Gabi for her help in beating the charges against her, and Gabi balked, saying that even though her brother is the commissioner, there’s no way that the mayor will let Vivian go since she threatened to kill Lani.

“My son has to get his memory back,” Vivian insisted. “I will make that happen one way or the other,” Gabi promised.

At Jake’s apartment, he started drinking heavily, when Gwen (Emily O’Brien) walked in. Jake kept drinking and told Gwen that the DNA results proved he was Stefan. Gwen reeled, saying he should get another test done.

Jake shared that he met the woman who’s supposedly his mother, and Gwen wondered if Jake was starting to seriously believe all of this.

“I don’t remember a damn thing about being this Stefan guy,” Jake said. Gwen asked how Jake was going to hold onto he was, and Jake started kissing Gwen passionately. Jake and Gwen fell onto the bed together.

Over at Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) apartment, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) reeled when Eric said that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) had decided to give her baby to someone else. Eric ultimately told them that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was the person, and “WilSon” was stunned.

Will and Sonny were distressed, especially when they learned that Allie was out talking to Rafe right now. Sonny comforted Will, saying that they’d eventually find the right child together, and Eric offered to help them by giving them the name of a social worker that he knows.

In town square, Rafe was stunned by Allie’s offer to let him adopt her baby. Rafe said that he wasn’t expecting this, and that this meant the world to him, but that Allie needed to talk with Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) about this.

Rafe didn’t think that Sami would like having her ex-husband adopt her grandchild, plus he said that he didn’t even know if it’s what he wanted. Rafe agreed that he’d think about it.

Allie then returned to Nicole and Eric’s apartment, and Will and Sonny were still there. Will and Sonny said that they had come to talk with Allie about adopting her baby. “Wow, that never occurred to me,” Allie said. Will and Sonny said that they didn’t want to put Allie on the spot, and Allie seemed speechless over the whole thing.

Finally, back at the Salem PD, Rafe returned and Hope arrived to congratulate him for saving the day at Eli and Lani’s wedding. Rafe took Hope’s hand and asked if she had a minute to talk.

Rafe explained that Allie just asked him to adopt her baby, then told Hope the whole story off-screen. Hope asked how Rafe felt about it, and Rafe said he wasn’t sure, and that after losing David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends) it was a lot to think about.
