Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, June 5, tease that Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) will deliver some disturbing news to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal). DOOL fans know Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) was recently kidnapped, so Jake will give Ciara and Ben updates on this dangerous situation.
Jake will think Gabi’s as good as dead if he can’t get back the valuable item Gwen (Emily O’Brien) took from him. Ciara and Ben will look at a picture the kidnappers sent to Jake’s phone.
It’ll show a petrified Gabi bound and gagged, so Jake will know they have to fix this before the clock runs out. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben and Ciara will assure Jake that they’re all in on helping track Gwen down.
Speaking of Gwen, Emily O’Brien will make her debut as Jake’s ex-girlfriend on Friday. Gwen is at Bayview with Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan), who’s befriended her during their time there. Claire told Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) that she’s always welcoming to newcomers, so that’s probably how these two became so chummy.
Days spoilers say Claire will talk to Gwen about her hopes for the future. After Claire brings Gwen up to speed on her chat with Marlena, they’ll discuss the save-the-date card for Ben and Ciara’s wedding. Claire will likely admit she’s hoping to make it out before the nuptials happen.
Gwen will end up quizzing Claire about her motives, but Claire will maintain that they’re perfectly pure. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Claire will insist on repairing the damage with Ciara and hopefully getting their close bond back. Gwen will listen to all Claire’s plans and offer advice, so stay tuned for some fun scenes.
At home, Marlena will fill John Black (Drake Hogestyn) in on her visit with Claire. John will be surprised when he learns Claire wants to be released. As much as John would love that, he’ll wonder if Marlena really thinks Claire is ready.
Marlena may admit that Claire’s saying all the right things and has been the ideal patient. She might see Claire’s point about deserving her release just as much as Ben did.
Even so, Marlena will worry about putting her stamp of approval on this. She might fret about what could happen if she’s wrong. However, there are some other important opinions to consider.
DOOL spoilers say Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Black (Martha Madison) will be summoned, so they’ll fly in from Hong Kong once Monday rolls around.
Until then, drunk Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will battle temptation – and it won’t involve alcohol this time! Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) just walked in the pub, where Steve’s thoroughly intoxicated.
Steve’s also still madly in love with Kayla, so that isn’t a great combination. The sight of Kayla alone will prove tempting for Steve, who desperately wants to tell Kayla they should be together.
It doesn’t look like Steve will pour his heart out, but Kayla will obviously know he’s plastered. She’s a smart gal, so she should realize he must have a reason for trying to drink away his pain.
Days spoilers say there’ll be some tension since no one’s being completely honest here. Kayla isn’t truly happy with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) any more than Steve’s happy without Kayla.
Later, Steve will conk out on Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) sofa, where he’ll have a dream about kissing Kayla. Unfortunately, Steve will soon awaken to realize it was just that – a dream and nothing more. That’s the way things will stay unless Steve can gather up his courage and go after the woman he wants.
