Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, October 2, reveal that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) took the laptop with the surveillance footage into the interrogation room at the police station, while Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) watched her go.
Lani revealed that she had not erased the footage of her leading Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) out of the police station, and Eli was relieved but worried about what Melinda would do next.
Eli decided to go into the interrogation room to try to diffuse the situation with Melinda, and just then Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) entered the squad room with Vincent Bellman (Michael Teh).
Soon after, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) rushed in and scruffed Vincent, demanding that he talk. Eli got Ben and Hope to leave and let him and Lani handle things from here. Ben and Hope took off.
Melinda then returned to get Eli, and they talked in the interrogation room. Melinda presented her theory of how Lani helped Kristen escape, which was spot on, and she ultimately told Eli that if he helped her get evidence that would put Kristen away, then she wouldn’t pursue charges against Lani.
Melinda said that Eli certainly didn’t want his children to be born in prison.
Meanwhile, Lani tried to get Vincent to talk in the squad room. Lani said that Ben had done horrible things, and that Vincent was going down no matter what. Then Lani brought Wendy Taylor (Denice Duff) into the conversation, saying that Wendy would want Vincent to ease Hope’s suffering.
Over at Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) apartment, Kayla and Steve had breakfast, and Steve recounted how Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) had met Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) in London.
Kayla wondered whether Tripp could be the father of Allie’s baby, and Steve said that if Tripp is the dad, then he needed help stepping up to the plate.
At the Brady Pub, Tripp sat outside and had extended flashbacks of his bad encounter in the park with Allie and of when Steve asked him if he was the father of Allie’s baby. Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) came outside and Tripp went in the pub with him.
Roman and Tripp talked about Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) possibly being alive.
Soon, Hope and Ben arrived at the pub, and Hope and Roman talked briefly. Hope said that she was trying to push her feelings down about Ciara, but that she just wanted her baby girl back.
At another table, Tripp and Ben spoke briefly, and then Tripp got a text from Steve summoning him home. Soon, Lani called Hope and said that Vincent was ready to talk with them. Hope and Ben rushed off, and when they returned to the station, Vincent said that he’d tell then everything they wanted to know.
At Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) apartment, Allie tried to slip out, but Nicole forced a conversation. Nicole said that something was clearly bothering Allie, but finally Allie started to open up to Nicole again.
Allie said that on the night that her baby was conceived, she was blacked out from all the drinking she did. Allie then started beating herself up, saying that Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) didn’t deserve her as a mother.
Nicole insisted that Allie stop torturing herself, and Nicole said that Allie deserved credit for being sober now. Nicole asked about the last thing that Allie remembered, which was Tripp taking her home, but Allie said she didn’t remember anything that happened in her apartment until the next morning when he was gone.
Allie then remembered “him” being on top of her, and Nicole gently broached the topic of consent. Nicole said that if Allie needed Tripp’s help to get home, then he knew that she wasn’t in control and couldn’t give consent.
Through their discussion, Nicole reached out and held Allie’s arm, and then Allie remembered that there was hand on her wrist that night and that “he” was holding her down. Allie also remembered that she had said no.
Nicole said that if Allie said no, then they needed to go to the police because Allie had been assaulted. Allie said that she was scared to go to the police station, and Nicole thought that there might be another way.
Soon, Lani appeared at the door, and after coming in and meeting Allie, Allie told Lani that she wanted to report a rape.
Back at Steve and Kayla’s place, Tripp arrived and talked with Steve, who wanted to know if Tripp was the father of Allie’s baby. Tripp said that he was not the father, and Steve wondered how he could be so sure. “Because I never slept with Allie,” Tripp said confidently.
