Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) could gain a new rival down the road. DOOL fans know Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) has started an interesting romance with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), but let’s be real here.
Kate isn’t long-term competition for Gabi and will eventually be pushed out of the picture.
Jake can deny he wants Gabi, but that’s only going to delay the inevitable. As soon as Gabi’s back in Salem, she’ll be focused on winning Jake’s heart back – and Gabi will no doubt succeed.
The rival we really want to talk about here is someone dangerous and deadly – a truly worthy opponent for Gabi in many ways. What happens once Gabi and Jake finally have a shot at a bright future? Who might stand in their way? Perhaps that’s when Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will become an unexpected curveball.
Jake worked for “The Family” in “Philly,” but Days of Our Lives never revealed the exact family. Could the Vitali family have an operation set up in Philadelphia? After all, Days has brought the whole mob angle into the story through Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson).
It makes sense to bring Jake’s mob angle back into this, too.
That’s especially true since Jake and Gabi will need a new obstacle to tackle together. Once Kate’s out of the way, it may be Ava and the Vitali clan that become a problem.
Gabi’s about to return after getting rid of Eduardo Hernandez’s (A Martinez) threat – the threat that forced her into hiding. What if Jake fears he’ll have to go into hiding next?
Jake could certainly get spooked if he finds out Ava’s in town and connects her to his old organization. We can’t forget how Jake got on “The Family’s” bad side by stealing that book.
That brought total chaos, including Gabi’s kidnapping. Jake may feel like he needs to part ways with Gabi for her own good if the danger revs up again.
Of course, Gabi may think she can handle Ava and this mob family of hers! It’d be fun to watch Gabi and Ava go up against each other. They’re both schemers who’ll do whatever it takes to get what they want, so it’d definitely be a fair fight! We’ll pass along updates as other Days news pops up.
