Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) party plans could hit a huge snag. DOOL fans know Gwen’s planning a big bash to celebrate the anniversary of Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) coming out of her coma, which also happens to be the day Jennifer remarried Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).
Jack and Jenn never got a wedding reception since “Princess Gina Von Amberg” aka Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) pushed Jennifer off the bistro balcony, which led to Jenn’s coma and took her out of the picture for an entire year.
With all that in mind, it was easy for Gwen to sell Abigail on the idea of throwing a fun party to celebrate Jennifer’s awakening and her marriage to Jack.
What won’t be so easy is for Gwen to pull this party off without a hitch! For starters, Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) could cause problems. Jake’s already suspicious since he caught Gwen having a little chat with Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait.
Gwen was going on and on about how this would be a night everyone would remember, so Jake’s interest is piqued.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jake will grill Gwen during the week of October 19-23, but it looks like the upcoming blackout will both help and hinder Gwen. Jake may get distracted by all the drama, but so will Gwen.
The party planning will get put on hold during all the blackout turmoil, but Gwen can pick it back up down the road.
Jake’s curiosity may ultimately circle back around as an issue for Gwen to contend with. However, there might be someone else who spoils Gwen’s party plans in the end.
Abigail and Gwen recently “bonded” over their mutual disdain for Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus), so Gabi’s return could play a huge role in what’s ahead.
In reality, Gwen hates Abigail even more than Gabi, but the conversation allowed Days to bring Gabi up and lay the groundwork for her to cause trouble again. However, Gabi’s trouble might be directed at Gwen this time around.
Gabi has proven she doesn’t like being framed for things, so Gwen had better watch her back. Although Gwen didn’t exactly set Gabi up, she did stand by and watch Gabi take the fall for drugging Abigail.
Gabi nearly went to prison and lost her child, so she’ll be invested in this Gwen vs. Abigail story. This is an instance when Gabi should be on Abigail’s side for once.
That brings us to the timing of all this. The blackout will be an event that lasts seven or eight episodes, so there’ll be a delay before this anniversary party. Naturally, Days of Our Lives spoilers say this party is most likely going to commemorate the anniversary of the actual show, which falls on November 8.
Based on that date and when Camila Banus returned to set, it’s very possible Gabi will do what she does best and crash the shindig. When has Gabi ever been around and NOT crashed a party?
That’s Gabi’s thing! Gabi may arrive back in Salem just in time to derail this gathering and wreck Gwen’s plans.
Although Gabi doesn’t know Gwen’s the true drugging culprit, she could be at odds with Gwen again if she blows into this bash and steals the spotlight. It could delay whatever Gwen’s plotting and give Gabi time to figure out Gwen’s guilt with Jake’s assistance in the weeks that follow.
Regardless, this anniversary party totally sounds like something Gabi would enjoy crashing – and Banus was on set by the time this was filmed. It should be interesting to see how this gathering plays out! As other DOOL news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
