Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) and Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) have become friendly recently, and that’s probably only going to lead to problems down the road.
As viewers are aware, Jake doesn’t tend to think carefully before getting involved with women, or else he’d probably have avoided troublemaker Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and may have waited before hopping into bed with Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), too.
But Jake seems to be an “in the moment” kind of guy who tends to love who he’s with, and recently, he’s had his eye on Kate. Kate has seemingly resisted Jake’s charms thus far, but you can tell that down deep she’s interested in the young DiMera heir.
It seems that during the next few episodes, Jake and Kate will spend some more time together, with Jake even proclaiming to Kate that he likes “bad girls.”
Well, if that’s the case, then Jake will probably be really interested in hearing all the details about how Kate saved Henry Horton (Kinsley and Jayna Fox) and totally shot Clyde Weston (James Read), bringing Henry’s kidnapping ordeal to a screeching halt.
In fact, Jake might be quite impressed with Kate after hearing those details, and he’ll probably be all the more interested in her.
According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Jake and Kate will end up heading to the Deveraux anniversary party together, which Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and Gwen have put together for Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain).
But at the party, it’s looking like some sordid details are going to come out about Jack and Kate – in fact, the new DOOL promo indicates that Jack and Kate might have had an affair while Jennifer was in her year-long coma!
If Jake indeed likes “bad girls,” then he’s probably going to be drawn even closer to Kate in the aftermath of the party. And if Kate and Jack did have an affair during Jennifer’s coma, then Jake could end up being Kate’s only real friend after that.
Whatever the case, it doesn’t seem like the details of Kate’s actions will really rattle Jake, since ongoing Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Kate and Jake will eventually give into their passion for each other.
Well, once Jake and Kate have gotten together, that’s going to really complicate things when Gabi eventually returns. In fact, Gabi may come back to Salem ready to see where things can go between herself and Jake, since they were together shortly before Gabi had to leave Salem.
Of course, Gabi had to lie to Jake and tell him that he didn’t mean anything to her before she took off, but she’ll probably think that an apology will clear everything up.
However, what if Gabi returns and finds out that Jake and Kate have been sleeping together? Gabi and Kate have been close in the past, and she might not be willing to rekindle things with Jake after learning that he had the hots for Kate!
It could lead to some humorous situations for sure, as Gabi and Kate could end up fighting over Jake.
We’ll see what happens here, but Kate and Jake getting together could certainly set the stage for some big drama down the road when Gabi returns. Days buzz says Gabi could even find Kate and Jake in bed together, which would be pretty startling for everyone involved!
