Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that more clues are surfacing about who Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) really is and why she’s targeting Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). We know that Gwen’s plotting Abigail’s destruction, but she hasn’t revealed the exact reason just yet. Gwen’s saving that bombshell for after her plan’s complete!
However, it’s clear that Gwen’s jealous of Abigail for the life she’s lived and things she’s had. Why would Gwen feel that way about someone she’d never even met before she came to Salem? Gwen was even willing to drive Abigail off the deep end through a drug that caused hallucinations. Gwen REALLY hates Abby, but why?
CDL previously speculated that Gwen might be the long-lost daughter of Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), which would make her Abigail’s half-sister. Jack’s spent time in Europe over the years, so it’s reasonable to think he might’ve hooked up with some British woman and fathered a child.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest Gwen may feel like she was abandoned, even if Jack never knew she existed. Meanwhile, Abigail got the perfect happy home in Gwen’s eyes. Let’s consider some crucial hints that Gwen and Abigail offered up in the October 1 DOOL episode.
For starters, Abigail caught Gwen having a little chat with Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait. Gwen insisted she was just talking to herself, but she used that to segue into a conversation about Abigail’s father. Gwen highlighted how different Jack was by suggesting he had a lovely, warm relationship with Chad.
“You know, my dad’s not perfect, but he’s definitely a kind and compassionate man,” Abigail said in agreement. “He’s nothing like Stefano.” Later, Gwen mentioned how she didn’t have many advantages growing up.
Gwen was about to divulge more when Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) interrupted and argued Gwen should be focusing on her nanny duties.
“Just to be clear, I really don’t want Gwen to be treated like she’s a servant,” Abigail declared. While Gwen’s taking care of our kids, could we please just treat her like a member of our family?”
Days is playing up Jack as a good, yet imperfect dad – and Abigail’s pushing for Gwen to be treated like one of the fam. This sure sounds like a setup for a long-lost daughter and half-sister reveal to us!
Once Gwen destroys Abigail’s life or gets caught in the process, she’ll most likely drop that bomb on the Deveraux family.
