Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will have to pay the price for her actions sooner or later. DOOL fans know there’s a certain give and take when it comes to schemers.
It’s like when Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) rigged Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pacemaker to explode. Gabi gained the upper hand and was winning for a while, but her plot had to come crashing down sooner or later.
Gabi destroyed Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) first wedding to Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), but she later got her own wedding to Eli destroyed in return. There’s often a sense of poetic justice when it comes to characters’ transgressions.
Although Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) was mentally ill when he murdered Wendy Taylor (Denice Duff), the same idea applies. Ben robbed Vincent Belman (Michael Teh) of the woman he loved and now Ben’s been robbed of his own true love, Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal).
With that trend in mind, let’s consider how Gwen’s going to pay for what she did and is still doing to Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).
Days fans know Gwen drugged Abigail’s drink and caused horrible hallucinations. Abigail left her family to go into treatment because she was seeing terrifying things that weren’t there.
Abby’s back now, but Gwen’s still up to no good! How will Days make Gwen suffer in the end?
If we go by that theme of payback mirroring what characters have done, perhaps Gwen will be drugged next. It would serve Gwen right if she began to hallucinate and went off the rails.
It might even force Gwen into a mental institution for a bit, which would also be fitting since Gwen once faked a breakdown to score a spot at Bayview. Maybe Gwen’s next Bayview stint will actually be necessary.
As for who would drug Gwen, Abigail or Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) might if one of them felt pushed to his or her breaking point.
However, Days of Our Lives could preserve “Chabby’s” innocence by making it someone shady like Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), who may become involved in this story eventually. Kate’s capable of anything!
Gwen might even ingest the drug accidentally and cause her own downfall. It’d be easy for Gwen to grab the wrong glass and send herself spinning out of control once the hallucinations started.
Gwen has to suffer for what she did one way or another. Soaps have a way of making characters pay, even if they don’t wind up in prison. Maybe the punishment Days offers will be making drugged Gwen go through what Abigail’s endured.
It’d be interesting to see what Gwen might hallucinate and how an already volatile character like her would react.
