Days of Our Lives (DOOL) tease that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) has a sneaky new plan in mind – and it involves Abigail DiMera and Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). Jake wants to be given a chance as part of the family, so he’s been pushing Abigail to put in a good word for him with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
After Gwen listened in on Jake and Abigail’s chat, she talked to Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait. Gwen suggested that Stefano must be thinking the same thing, so now she just has to figure out how to pull off this mysterious plan of hers.
Of course, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) offered a hint during her conversation with Chad across town. Kate brought up that maybe Chad’s beef with Jake was more about the fact that he looked like the guy who slept with Chad’s wife.
Chad corrected Kate since Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) raped Abigail, but Days may have been giving us a clue about what’s ahead.
Since Abigail wasn’t in her right mind, Chad was able to get past what happened. Stefan was the despicable one – not innocent Abigail. However, Gwen needs Abigail to look guilty this time.
She seems to hope she can push Abigail in Jake’s direction. DOOL viewers will recall that Gwen wants to rob Abigail of everything she holds dear, including Chad.
If Gwen wants to steal Chad for herself and hurt Abby, she needs to drive Chad and Abigail apart. Having Abigail cheat with Jake would be the best way to do that, but that brings us to Gwen’s dilemma. How’s she going to get Abigail to betray Chad? Days of Our Lives fans know it won’t be an easy task!
Jake probably won’t be an issue in Gwen’s mind since he hops in bed with women so easily. Abigail, on the other hand, has more self-control – and she’s madly in love with Chad. It’s hard to imagine Abigail cheating willingly on Chad at this point in the story.
With that in mind, Gwen may turn to some tools in her arsenal. Since Gwen was willing to drug Abigail into hallucinating, perhaps there’s a love potion Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) could provide.
Gwen might at least drug Abigail to lower her inhibitions and cause some flying sparks with Jake. Drugs seem to be Gwen’s MO, so that’s certainly one way this story could go.
Then again, maybe Gwen could simply plant concerns in Chad’s mind and then stage some sort of cheating setup. Chad normally believes Abigail’s side of the story, but perhaps he wouldn’t this time around – not when it’s Jake and not when Gwen’s stirring the pot.
That’s especially true if Kate witnesses something and reports back to Chad.
Whatever the case, Gwen will inevitably make a real mess for Abigail, Chad and Jake this fall. We’ll provide updates as other Days news rolls in. Days of Our Lives spoilers say some surprises are coming up in Gwen’s storyline, so stick with DOOL!
