Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will soon find himself on a new mission. Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) just filled Rafe in on the whole awful story surrounding Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) presumed death.
Rafe learned that Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) went off searching for Ciara, though no one knows where – or when Hope might be back.
When Rafe heard that Ciara’s remains weren’t actually found, that left him suspicious. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Rafe will become committed to finding Hope and helping with the Ciara hunt. He’ll have that same belief that Ciara may be alive, so Rafe will want to do whatever it takes to help.
Roman and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) have talked about being in touch with Hope, so it’s not like she’s completely fallen off the map – not yet anyway! Shawn recently mentioned how he calls and texts with Hope daily. He also pointed out a detail that might become significant.
Shawn insisted that every night he wishes Hope good night and always gets the same text in return: “Good night. I love you.” It’s interesting that Shawn called attention to that since it’s a seemingly trivial piece of info.
What does it matter that Hope always says the same thing in her text? Perhaps it’ll matter when Hope suddenly texts something different – or stops sending texts altogether. If the calls stop and the texts change or stop as well, Shawn is bound to suspect trouble.
A leaked audition tape revealed that Ciara is being held captive by someone Vincent Belman (Michael Teh) hired. Since Hope is an excellent detective and personally invested in this case, she’s probably going to pull off her goal and track Ciara down.
What happens then? Will Hope wind up held captive along with Ciara after a failed rescue? That seems like a good way to take the story. If Hope is no longer contacting her loved ones and Rafe has no way to locate her, there won’t be much he can do.
Hope could be anywhere in the world, so it’d be like finding a needle in a haystack.
Of course, DOOL would have to figure out what to do when Ciara returned to the canvas. Ciara might make a getaway and get separated from Hope – or maybe Days could talk Kristian Alfonso into returning after all. Even a recast would be an option, but they could cross that bridge when they come to it.
For the time being, Rafe could hit a serious roadblock on joining the Ciara search. If Hope goes missing without any leads, Rafe will feel stuck and completely helpless. As other Days news comes in, we’ll pass along more updates.
