Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) recently got some interesting news. As DOOL viewers know, Claire bumped right into Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) in Salem Park.
Eve was disguised with a short black wig and dark glasses, but Claire realized immediately that it was Eve. And Claire wasn’t at all happy with how Eve literally blew up Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) wedding.
In fact, the conversation got pretty ugly, with Claire going on about how Eve going after Ben wouldn’t bring Paige Larson (True O’Brien) back. Eve was pretty miffed, and she even slapped Claire when Claire called her “pathetic,” but one part of the conversation in particular has us wondering about something.
Claire flat-out accused Eve of framing her for the church bombing, and Eve genuinely seemed like she didn’t have a clue about what Claire was talking about.
Now, as DOOL viewers will remember, Ciara and Ben faced some major sabotage in the days leading up to their wedding. Ciara’s dress was vandalized with nail polish, and later the engagement ring that Ben bought for Ciara went missing, never to be found.
Then, Ciara got terribly ill after an evening out with Claire and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), which turned out to be the morning of the wedding. At the time, Claire was blamed for all these pre-wedding fiascos.
But then, after the church bombing and Ben’s kidnapping by Eve, everyone just assumed that it was Eve, or perhaps her henchman Vincent (Michael Teh), who was responsible for ruining the dress, stealing the engagement ring, and making Ciara sick.
But when Claire confronted Eve with these deeds, Eve seemed to totally deny them, and she really didn’t have reason to lie at that point. So now the question is – who actually did all these things to Ciara and Ben?
Well, one possibility that some DOOL fans have considered is that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) could be the culprit here. Right now, there’s a lot of buzz about the possibility of Tripp’s return, although Lucas Adams has recently said publicly that he “can’t say anything about that.”
Plenty of Tripp fans would love to see him back in action on the show, and it’s feasible that he could be the pre-wedding saboteur.
However, it might be a bit of a stretch to think that Tripp would deliberately drug or poison Ciara with something to make her ill.
Tripp and Ciara really cared for each other at one time, and they didn’t seem to part on bad terms, so unless Tripp has had some big change of character while he’s been off in medical school, it seems pretty out of character for him.
Of course, another possibility here is that Eduardo Hernandez (A Martinez) could be the one behind all the sinister occurrences before the wedding.
Eduardo is due to return to canvas in pretty short order, and he might have wanted to make Ben’s wedding day a nightmare, since Ben killed his daughter Paige. Eduardo could have been watching and chose Claire as a scapegoat, since she had just gotten out of Bayview.
We’ll see what becomes of this, but it seems that DOOL has sprung a new mystery on viewers as to who ruined Ciara’s dress, stole the engagement ring, and made Ciara sick. Claire might start to worry about there being another person out there who’s out to harm Ciara, Ben, or both of them!
