Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that another face from the past is returning to Salem. Longtime DOOL fans will remember Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera). Ivan was initially Lawrence Alamain’s (Michael Sabatino) manservant, but he fell hard for Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) and was most loyal to “Madame.”
If Vivian ever needed help with a cover-up or some crazy plot, Ivan was always ready and willing to help. Ivan’s love for Vivian drove him to do plenty of drastic things. It looks like history’s about to repeat itself now that Ivan’s return has been confirmed. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ivan will show up in Salem this summer, so what are his plans?
Obviously, Ivan’s comeback will be tied to Vivian in some way. There’s a chance Ivan has turned against Vivian, but it doesn’t seem likely due his previous fixation on her. The whole point of bringing Ivan back is probably to play that extreme loyalty and give Vivian an ally when she really needs one.
Of course, it’s possible Ivan’s already been hard at work offscreen. Did Ivan secretly bring Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) back to life? Ivan would have a motive to revive Stefan for Vivian’s sake – and keep quiet if the scheme went wrong!
Ivan wouldn’t want to manipulate Stefan into thinking he’s Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash), so maybe the plot somehow got away from him.
Regardless, Ivan might have an opportunity to make things right in his eyes. Days spoilers say Jake will be shocked by his DNA test results during the week of June 29-July 3. It looks like next week will also land Vivian in lockup – and perhaps make her unable to tamper with that DNA test.
Based on Salem’s track record, not too many DNA tests go smoothly. There’s always the potential for tampering, so could Ivan secretly intervene here? It’s easy to imagine Ivan changing the test results to make sure Vivian got her son back.
Ivan would know just how much that’d mean to his true love. Will Ivan be the reason the results say Jake is a match for Stefan?
Maybe Ivan could bribe a lab tech to make sure the results are a match no matter what. That’d leave the door open for Jake to still be Stefan in the end. In other words, Ivan could pay for a nonmatch to become a match – or a match that’s already a match.
Ivan would just want a match any way he could get it! DOOL probably wouldn’t reveal the real outcome until later.
Whatever the case, Ivan Marais is indeed returning to Salem along with Vivian. It sounds like Ivan’s devotion could land him in some tight spots once again! As other Days news and updates emerge, don’t forget to check back.
