Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that after Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) wraps up all the kidnapping chaos, she’ll get back down to business. Gabi was all set to prove whether or not Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) is Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) when she was rudely interrupted.
There’ll be some terrifying moments before this abduction mess is resolved, but Gabi will come out stronger on the other side. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi won’t let any of this deter her from her ultimate goal. In fact, the craziness of it all will only make Gabi more determined to prove Jake is Stefan.
The sooner Gabi can get Jake focused on his old life with her, the better. Gabi will be fed up with the mob drama, so she’ll let that fuel her desire to seek DNA evidence. During the week of June 15-19, Gabi will take steps to get the proof she needs.
Days has been putting off the big reveal, but they can’t keep having Gabi hit hurdles over and over. At some point, Gabi will have to get this DNA test done and figure out the truth. Of course, there’s always a chance of manipulation when it comes to DNA results in Salem.
That’s worth keeping in mind as this DOOL storyline moves forward.
We also have to consider the possibility that a match between Stefan and Jake’s DNA could mean something else. If they’re identical twins, that could add another layer of confusion here.
Regardless, Gabi seems poised to get the DNA proof she’s seeking. Since Gabi’s felt Stefan’s presence from the moment Jake hit town, Jake could easily be Stefan – just as Gabi’s suspected all along.
Regardless, it looks like Gabi will get the proof she wants. In a DOOL summer promo, Gabi can be seen lashing out at Gwen (Emily O’Brien) for kissing Jake at the garage. Gwen gets a warning to take her nasty paws off Gabi’s husband, so Gabi will still believe Jake is Stefan at that point.
It seems likely this scene will come after Gabi’s DNA evidence, so Gabi may work to make Jake accept who he is. Naturally, proof like this could be pretty overwhelming to Jake at first.
It’s easy to imagine Jake rejecting Gabi as his wife in that moment and even pushing for a divorce. Jake may not be willing to step back in Stefan’s shoes – at least not until he has a chance to process everything.
Fortunately, there’s hope for Gabi since she’ll end up by Jake’s side at Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) wedding. It may just take some time for Jake to let all this sink in – plus, a little compromising on Gabi’s part!
Gabi can’t expect Jake to instantly be the man he used to be, so this Stefan story may require finding some middle ground. That’s especially true if Stefan can’t get his memories back anytime soon.
