Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Clyde Weston (James Read) will be free to roam around Salem thanks to a blackout and a prison break. During the week of October 19-23, Clyde will show up to see Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and bring plenty of drama to his son’s life.
On some level, Ben may welcome the distraction since he’s distraught over what happened to Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal). Even so, Ben may not be thrilled about helping Clyde and potentially getting thrown back in the slammer! Ben doesn’t feel like he has much to live for these days, but Statesville still isn’t a great place to be.
However, there’s someone else who’ll cross paths with Clyde as the blackout drama continues. The week of October 26-30 will bring a shocker for Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow). Clyde and Kate are old flames, but Kate certainly recognizes how dangerous her ex is now.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kate will freak over this run-in, which will obviously be pretty unnerving. What will Clyde do after he bumps into Kate? Will Clyde just ruffle Kate’s feathers a little and take off? It’s possible, but it’s also possible Clyde will find himself in need of a hostage.
There’s even a chance Clyde could make a move on Kate since he’s been stuck behind bars for so long. It’s been quite some time since Clyde had any good lovin’ – and that could leave Kate uneasy about what this former Poplar Bluff dweller has in mind.
DOOL writers are creating a scenario where Kate may need someone to step up and rescue her. Could that someone be Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash)? It’s easy to imagine Jake spotting Clyde with Kate and deciding he has to do something.
Jake may sense that Kate isn’t happy about this encounter, so it could leave him determined to stand up to Clyde. “Back off, pal! You heard the lady!” Of course, Clyde is a killer and definitely not somebody you want on your bad side. Jake already made the “Philly” mob mad, but he may put himself on Clyde’s hit list next.
Naturally, there’s no guarantee Jake will save the day. We know Jake will confront Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) about her secret plan soon, so there’s always the risk of Jake getting locked down in the DiMera secret room.
However, if Jake remains a free man during the fugitive mayhem ahead, he’ll probably emerge as Kate’s hero. There’s a reason Jake’s been flirting with Kate and a reason he’s been asking about her exes. Days has to be going somewhere with all this, so it may build to a Jake and Clyde showdown.
Since Clyde will likely be armed, Kate may even fear Jake’s going to take a bullet and die like his brother, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash)! Fortunately, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jake isn’t going anywhere and will live to tell the tale. This might just be a moment to help Jake and Kate bond.
