Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Cady McClain’s first airdate as Jennifer Horton Deveraux is coming up. You’ve probably heard by now that McClain is taking over the role from Melissa Reeves, who decided not to return when the show resumed production.
Before we talk about when McClain will make her debut as Jennifer, we should explain what the next couple weeks will look like.
You might’ve noticed some odd discrepancies on the Tuesday, October 6 episode. There’s a good reason for that since some of that episode’s scenes were filmed back in March and other scenes were filmed in September.
The differences were subtle – like the length of Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) ponytail throughout the episode – but you might’ve spotted them if you looked hard enough. Regardless, we want to point this pre-shutdown and post-shutdown thing out out so you’ll understand the Jennifer situation that’s coming up.
Melissa Reeves didn’t return to Days after the show resumed production, but she’s still got some scenes in the can. DOOL fans will still see Reeves a time or two more before McClain debuts. As for when McClain will make her first appearance in Salem, it should be during the week of October 19-23.
So what will Jenn be up to once McClain swaps in and makes a smooth Jennifer transition? Days of Our Lives spoilers say some curveballs are brewing for Jennifer and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) – and they’re coming courtesy of Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).
Gwen’s targeting Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), but Jack and Jennifer will wind up playing crucial roles in the chaos to come. JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) should get caught in this family mess as well since he’s headed back to DOOL this fall.
It’ll be interesting to see how Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), Abigail and her family handle the Gwen mayhem ahead!
In the meantime, we’ll look forward to McClain’s spin on the role. McClain is a respected daytime vet and an excellent actress, so fans are eager to see what her version of Jennifer is like. We’ll pass along updates as other Days news emerges.
