Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some great news to pass on about a popular DOOL star who has certainly had a tough time recently. As you might be aware, Judi Evans, who has portrayed both Adrienne Kiriakis and Bonnie Lockhart on the NBC soap, suffered a fall from her horse in May, and a cascade of terrible health events followed.
In addition to suffering serious injuries as a result of the fall, Judi was later diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot or clots in the lung), which is a very serious and life-threatening condition. Then there were reports from Judi’s publicist that she had tested positive for COVID-19 and was experiencing blood clots in her legs that nearly required amputation.
On top of all this, Judi’s publicist shared that she experienced a horrible scenario in the operating room, as she was about to have surgery to deal with the blood clots in her legs. Judi’s medical team apparently didn’t numb her legs properly before the surgery and cutting ensued without the proper level of numbing.
Well, today we have some good news to report about Judi. Her DOOL co-star Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) shared on Twitter earlier today that Judi was home from the hospital. That’s a big step forward for Judi, and we’re so glad that she’s making progress and is on the mend at home.
Wally responded to a tweet from a fan, whose name coincidentally is Adrienne, like Judi’s character on DOOL. The fan said: “Thank you, Wally, for the update on Judi. I pray she is able to go home soon. From one Adrienne to another!”
Wally then responded by saying: “Happy to say Judi IS home and recuperating. Thanks for all your positivity and love sent her way.” Well, Wally’s followers were thrilled with this news. One person wrote: “Thank you for sharing this wonderful news. I am continuing to send her positive thoughts and prayers.”
Another follower replied by saying: “Good news!!!!! Thank you, Wally! Praying for a full & speedy recovery for @TheJudiEvans. Continuing to pray for her family during this beyond-difficult year.” Finally, someone commented: “Wonderful news! I hope the remainder of her recovery is swift.”
