Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Judi Evans (Adrienne Kiriakis and Bonnie Lockhart) recently suffered some terrible injuries following a horseback riding accident. A rep for Evans confirmed that she was hurt on Saturday, May 16, last weekend and was rushed to the hospital.
After Evans went out on a trail in Los Angeles, her horse alerted her to some trouble by nipping at her heels. Evans spotted some unknown men that seemed to be following her, so she chose to take her horse down another path. Unfortunately, the horse was startled by the change of plans and moved too fast, causing Evans to fall backward off her horse.
The Days of Our Lives star stayed conscious throughout the ordeal, but it was certainly still a painful and frightening one. Thankfully, some other riders were in the area and noticed Evans in distress. An ambulance was called, so paramedics came quickly and got Evans to the hospital soon after.
Evans had a long list of injuries, including a broken collarbone and two chipped vertebrae. She also had seven broken ribs following this brutal fall, which resulted in blunt force trauma and a collapsed lung.
This definitely wasn’t the peaceful ride Evans had in mind, but at least she’s on the mend after getting the necessary medical attention.
It sounds like Evans has a long recovery ahead of her, but she’s got plenty of Days fans sending her love and support. Evans is currently still in the hospital, and there’s no word on when she’ll be released just yet.
DOOL viewers adore Evans for her work on Days and her sweet spirit in real life, so we’re all rooting for her to get well soon!
Due to previously filmed scenes, Evans is set to make her onscreen comeback in Salem down the road. We can look forward to the return of Adrienne, Bonnie or both, so that’s some good news to remember as Evan rests and recuperates. CDL wishes Judi Evans a speedy and thorough recovery.
